Michael - I went through Whiting then VT-5 at Saufley for 4-Plane formation and CARQUAL in 1972, then jumped the pipeline to go on to VT-21 at Kingsville for TA-4J. Might have flown this airplane, need to check my logbook. Beautiful airplane, brings back so many great memories. I remember my first takeoff roll in the T-28. Pre-oiler is a great addition! Noticed that you did a correct start sequence with primer alone, then mixture, and release primer when over-rich. Others start with mixture alone, sad to say. Thanks for keeping her fit and trim.

USN student VT-6 early 1981. All phases of primary training were in the T-28 then. VT-6 was the only squadron still flying 28s, and was half 28s and half T-34s.
