Remind me of my last T-28 flight on April 17, 1975 at Utapao, USAF AB in Thailand. It was a beauty and elegant aircraft to fly.

Every former Marine Corp pilot I know said they would have been happy to fly their T-28 for their career.

I loved this aircraft and its masculine airframe. It fly's like a joy and carves the sky with the right stuff. 🏁

Nice for me to see this! In training, I flew the T-28 @ Pensacola, finding it easy to keep in formation & pleasant to maneuver. It was also forgiving in the several "dead stick" landing I did.

Years ago Phil Air Force had squadrons of T 28 D Trojans with the 15ty Strike Wing ,an air assault unit.dubbed as 'Tora Tora',mimicked of the Japanese Pearl Harbor attack.in the 70s Trojans with it's powerful roar of engines wrought havoc against the NPA and the separatist MNLF.its light attack role continued tru the early 90s,afterwards it was phased out for OV 10 Broncos,Marchettis,Tucanos.🇵🇭

The farting song of the engine is unexpected from a radial engine ! The way they designed the exhaust is,odd to me , apparently the sound was not the main worry ..
