I got mine early on and overwatered it and barely kept it alive. Then a friend wanted it so I gave it to them and they say it’s doing well now. How’s your tomatoes doing? Ours are just starting to give us a few, can’t wait for the ones I grew from Bakercreek! I LOVE tomatoes 🍅 !
@StefHall3 жыл бұрын
Well shoot. We’ve all done that. Still waiting somewhat impatiently for the tomatoes to ripen. Generally they don’t start until August for me.

We just get a few here and there, mainly just Juliet & a couple of the smaller San Marzano. Got 2 of the Brads Atomic Grape, they are a bit strange! LOL...I’ll wait to say after we get some that haven’t been hanging on the vine for so long. Most are much better after the first few!

I have my new lipstick plant hanging on my front porch in the southeast United States with morning sun in high humidity and it is about to be full of blooms in just a matter of a couple of months. I water it pretty frequently because it does get a good bit of sun and the temps are in the 90’s. Loving this plant ❤😊

Thank you for this video! I started noticing brown spots on mine and couldn’t find a straight answer on what the problem might be. Do you have a tutorial video on pruning? Mine is still pretty small but wasn’t sure if pruning would help encourage growth.

I got a cutting and have had it in water. It’s not giving roots at all. What should I do? Great video Stef.Thank you
@StefHall3 жыл бұрын
I root them directly in soil and put them in a little Tupperware with the lid on. They need to get aired out daily though so they don’t grow mold.

Hi Stef, I have the Black Pagoda and I just love the leaves, the flowers not so much, but love those leaves, I also have a Curly Lipstick plant and it is so much fun as well, I also have the lipstick plant I ordered from you, so I am assuming it is the Mona Lisa because of the way the flowers come out, I really love lipstick plants and loved this video. Still working on my sun room, and hopefully will get it before winter. I really love your sun room, it just gives me such awesome vibes. Thanks so much for another great video, always give me so much joy to see you, sending love and hugs, bye for now.

Wanted to ask one more thing! Do you grow out all the plants for the shop or do you buy them from another grower? It might be interesting to hear more about the nuts and bolts of having a shop. I saw the episode re your mailing procedure and that was fascinating. Thanks.

Hi can you please help me? I just ordered a black pagoda and got it in the mail a week ago. It arrived with the leaves very soft, wilted, shriveled and lack of color and some leaves with no color on the bottom of the leaves. Do you have thoughts on this?
@LauraKaempfe8 ай бұрын
I have a black pagoda and it’s in a ceramic pot with a stupid attached saucer. When I bought it, my friend bought one too and hers looked healthier. On mine, many of its leaves were curled and I think that was because it got neglected and dried out at the nursery. The leaves still haven’t uncurled. I’ve had it for about three or four months now. I have never owned one so I’m on the hunt for information on how to care for it. Do you ship to Nevada? I’d like a Mona Lisa next.

Hi! I haven't really been doing the plant shop for a while. Hopefully your pagoda gets better. Does it have bugs?

Hi Stef, It seems you have the lipstick plant in a plastic pot, does that work best overall? Mine is newer, grew cuttings from a friend, and I currently have it in clay but perhaps plastic is best. Mine has not bloomed for me yet. I need to get on a more regular fertilizing schedule. Thanks for the info re the plant, can't wait for blooms.

Hi Carol! I’ve got my personal one in a ceramic pot. I haven’t tried growing them in terra cotta but feel like it might suck out too much moisture.
