I am in IL and on a day that was 56 degrees out I found a huge hanging basket of this on clearance at a grocery store for 8 bucks and I flew to bring this chic home so she had a safe warm place in my home to vaca in lol. Thank you for the advice!

I've had mine for over a decade and it's happiest in my South facing window. Direct sun doesn't hurt it or any of my other 3 varieties. Also my AC blows directly on it and it doesn't care. Mine is in a 14in hanging pot. Checkout Spokane Plant Farm for great propagating tips for these.

I got mine as a cutting. And somehow almost blinked and it had doubled in size. My best friends husband even likes it and he's not a plant fan. I have not been brave enough to cut it yet. But will late spring next year. Great vid

I bought a small one in a 1" pot, and at some point it got knocked off the windowsill and behind the craft kits/easel under the window. No clue how long it was deprived of light and water, but it's still alive and slowly recovering now!

I’ve had such bad luck with mine… it just doesn’t seem to like anything I do… the leaves keep shrivelling up, and I keep cutting it up, rerooting it and the whole cycle of unpleasantness goes on and on… 😢 Maybe it’s the genetics of the clone I have…? Anyway, they’re super hard to find here in Montreal so I’ll keep my fingers crossed and hope to find a healthier one in the future, cause these are just so, so beautiful when they’re happy!

I love this plant because it’s so beautiful but it gives me so much trouble. It’s constantly dropping leaves & the leaves on the plant always feel & look crispy. I might chop it all back & see if it grows back healthier.

I feel the same way! Mine is in a south facing window, but about 6 to 8 ft back. The plant grows, but it seems every time I water it I'll find four or five leaves on the ground the next day. I don't think it's flowered in a year and a half. I have so many plants that I seriously considered ditching this one, but the foliage is so pretty I just can't do it. I do think I'll repot it and cut off all the trails and try to propagate them. I've never seen this as an easy plant, for sure. I was just telling my son that I can grow difficult plants, but this one gives me trouble and I bought a 2.99 basil at the grocery and it was dead in 2 days. What's up with that?!
