JFC Sometimes I listen to a joint like this 50 in a row and I'm appreciating the masterful wordplay and the vivid imagery in the message... And then on the 51st time... the Goosebumps and the chills and the watery eyes... It's always fire. Sometimes it's an Inferno. And sometimes I just melt into it and that's when I know I get it in a way that serves me. Interpretation is everything... everything is interpretation... This one just hit me in that kind of uncomfortable but necessary interpretation. I want to run out in the street and tell everybody to check this s*** out. Hardly anybody ever listens. I keep trying to tell people what's going on with this guy and his incredible Talent. One of the greatest Poets of all time? Probably both. But we don't hear it until we're ready for it. Much love to the man himself and to everybody out there who gets to that special place when they vibe to him. I wish everybody knew what was going on here, mostly. But on some level, I kind of feel like we have a special thing, those of us who can access or capture a little bit of what he's doing. How does one catch up to what he puts out? One doesn't, I suppose. 🍻
@RandomBlake2564 Жыл бұрын
I feel like Aes shares a similar relationship to what I've heard others describe about psychadelics; You don't find them, they find you. How do you change someone? You can't, you can just show them ways how to change and whether or not they take it is up to them. I feel it's also a matter that when people discover something themselves it feels much more significant than someone else telling you something is special, and in all the ways that it IS special. Even if you're right, that doesn't necessarily mean it'll click for them. This is the biggest struggle I've dealt with when it comes to enjoying "underground" music.

The delusions of a fanboy. He's not slept on because "he goes so far above everyone's head", he's slept on because nobody really listens to hip hop in relation to other music, and he's never made pop music. People say this shit all the time but all you're doing is feeding your own ego.

@James Jamison I just heard a guy do a reaction to Aes, and it was his first time hearing him. He said this and I feel that this was appropriate... “He’s too dope for normal human consumption.” - MrLBoyd (I think?)

@@scladoffle2472 Yet everyone knows who JayZ, Tupac, Biggie Smalls, Eminem, and 50 cent are. Rap and hip hop are mainstream now homie. Aes is slept on because he's underground, and not alot of people can actually grasp what he's trying to say in his verses.

When you realise there is an actual boiling river in Peru. The poem at the end is from a french poet in the 1800s lamenting about the changing culture of Paris, and was sampled from the album "Flowers of Evil" 1969.
