@@wallywashtits1574 yeah it's not even that close. Aes might be a slightly better lyricist, but as a musician he is not even close to 'My name is El-P, I produce and I rap too'. El-P just has the illest flows, because they interact with these absolutely mad beats. Also, there are so many El-Ps: Company-Flow-El-P, Solo-El-P, RTJ-El-P and it always sounds completely different, hell even from project to project he reinvents himself. Aesop Rock does not switch it up that much. Like sonically I am not surprised how he sounds on this. Maybe that's just my personal preference though.

Shit Aes's quality continues to improve. I remember listening to Bazooka Tooth when I was younger and not really liking it or understanding it. I slept on Aes for years and then heard None Shall Pass and it's been going up from there.

Went to his bandcamp and read the album entry. Is it just me, or did he get heavily influenced by the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series, when writing this album. The diagrams even have a resemblance to the Guide's by Douglas Adams. Practically the same idea revolving around surviving with a guide that has everything. Absolutely love it, if so. @REd PiLLingTon I can't speak for him, but I always felt like aes rock never gave a fuck about the mould. He makes music he wants to make because he wants to, and doesn't care if it's liked or not. Im sure he hopes it resonates with some people. But could care less about being different for the sake of being different.
