I think Aes houses the reincarnated soul of William Shakespeare. And the heart of where art thou. By far the Greatest Rapper Of All Time. It's gonna be almost impossible to top his discography lyrically and sonically. What I really value the most about Aesop besides his proficiency and vocabulary, is his ability to be himself and poke fun at what's makes him different and "uncool" but at times it can be a little too self deprecating. But it's real and lots of us face low self esteem issues. When Aes goes renaissance era poetry modes, shit is just amazing. Horses and flamming arrows! Lol I've learned so much from Aes as a writer. I feel like I owe him something.

What's so good about it? I'm curious what's your fascination?
@angelguerrero76552 жыл бұрын
@@alexusrillo2429 well, for one, I love the multi-layered metaphors. so, he strings together multiple analogies in order to paint the picture of the idea he's trying to convey. and then his voice is just perfect for his style. his beats are all unique and interesting. his mastery of language and fluent use in his music is one of my favorite things, being a writer myself. the rhyme schemes are bananas: AAAA, ABAB, ABA, BBA, etc. and i love how deliberate he is with tying all these things together. most rappers are only good at a handful of those things, but he is a master at all of those things. his vocabulary is more widely ranging than Shakespeare, so it should give context as to how truly skilled he is with his works

Get your wig in the wind, bruh, how TF does he keep writing songs FULL of these obtuse analogies that nobody else would think to write yet IMMEDIATELY make PERFECT sense The specifics of the connotations implied there are just so - ...... there are a hundred ways you could have written almost the exact same line that would have totally cheapened the analogy, like the use of wig specifically implies so much, and wind specifically as opposed to something else speaks to him not just saying get in the mud/the rough, but specifically the wind is both some all day every day ish and something so apparently nonthreatening yet it can still both catch you off guard and get strong enough to move your entire body [rare as that may be in most geographies], so it's like him saying the ish that we out here in, the ish that's just Tuesday for us, just walking outside, but that would still blow away your illusions and your fineries and - .................. HOW TF DOES HE KEEP DOING THIS UUUUGGGGGHHHHHHHH you could get lost in a forest maze of thick Aes verses, or you can spend a whole day just over analyzing nearly ANY *ONE* line and still pull new meaning from it that WORKS and isn't forced, it's just there waiting to be found, like.................. Dawg, this guy almost makes me understand people saying really good blues players sold their soul to the devil [not that said blues players don't....]. It's like he's just selling his eternity for a human lifetime of just what the fuqq how does he keep doing this like twice a year every year GET YOUR WIG IN THE WIND!, bruh - .......... Who tf else would write that, yet it's SO tacit, YET it's so perfectly chosen AND thorough, *and he does it every fuqqing ti-*............................... *sigh*
