It's amazing these stories were known and read throughout the history of rome, Caesar and cleopatra, Jesus, muhammad, the black death, the Renaissance and reformation, the train, the car, internet... people have always been intelligent and wise, however knowledge and uncertainty shift through time.

at least we are still subject to war, just like back then. dont forget aesop is also just retelling the stories mostly from carthage after alexandria burned. a kind of re-establishment in a way. we're lucky to hear the old stories at all

@@benjaminhoover6427 Aesop was living way before Alexandria burned. And he was nowhere near Carthage. He came from Samos and died in Delphi. He was in the 6th century BC, during the time of Croesus of Lydia.

1:25:57 The Fowler story is not the original from Aesop. As you can tell they didn't have guns in 600bc. This version was written in the 1700s. In Aesops tale the Fowler is setting bird traps. And steps on a snake who bites him.

0:19 -The Goose That Laid the Golden Eggs - too much greed and impatience cause loss 0:43 - country mouse and city mouse - dont try to grab shiny object too quickly without thinking and simpler and safer is better then polish nd dangerous 2:37 - milkmaid and pot of milk - dont waste your time in thinking of future instead focus on working on present the best way 3:39 - The Man and the Satyr - anyone who does opposite or different things but give same reason must be dealt with caution 5:19 - fighting gamecocks and eagle - dont try to appear as king 7:36 - fox and crow - u start getting attention unexpectedly when u have smthing valuable 8:50 - shepherd boy nd the village nd wolf coming to eat - try to understand the pain smone takes to do smthing upon ur need even if they dnt tell u that they r doin smthing for u 12:09 - wolf turned sheep - if u know u r gambling nd everything is happening purely by luck then get out as fast as u can after taking what u need 12:50 -stag at the pool - everything no matter how u may think of useless or useful has some unique usefulness and use cases which needs a intelligent man to identify nd utilise ! everything has a use 13:40 - fox and the mask - beauty without utility is only used for decoration and isnt a real need 14:50 - fox and baby lamb PI 155 - try to understand what does the other person really wants and what are his intentions and desires and try to fulfill them instead of giving logical or good reasons or giving him the r8 path 16:00 - one eyed doe - life is like call of duty u r never absolutely safe so best wud to find the most optimal way to be safe and learn to handle situation
