@@unphasednuuncis really liked xg releases last year but after shooting star and left right nothing clicked with me. anyways i don’t consider xg kpop act since their songs are mostly in English but I agree they’re an amazing gg and have the best rapper line especially Cocona her flow and delivery 🔥

Yes aespa has the whole quality as artists.. while SM is one of the best sound productions in kpop. I like how you recognize it all.. like you noticed "l-l-like it when..." part which was executed well with such tehniques. But yes unfortunately,, though already famous and Legendaries, none of SM idols have reached certain worldwide recognitions yet like other big agencies (Jyp - twice, YG - blackpink, hybe - bts). Stray kids and Seventeen are on their way to be up there based on their incredible achievements these past 2 years.. I HOPE aespa will soon tooo ❤ SM plsss

You raised a very important point here, as a veteran in kpop I believe EXO had the potential of the same breakthrough as BTS, they had everything and their global fanbase was getting significantly bigger by the day to the point SM intentionally toned it down. SM is scared of their artists getting bigger than the company so they push them to a certain level of success where they can benefit from them without having the headache of the artists realising they can get/do more, they're particularly afraid of the YG-Blackpink situation. I hope aespa becomes the exception though and they allow them to shine more and more.

@@tarteel268 EXO is literally SM's biggest gem.. The era after growl booming should be the stepping stone for SM to make them much bigger but SM failed them. I don't think SM's afraid of more populariry gudging from how they formed Superm and launched them in US to get that instant success..yet it also kinda fail. Even a 2 years old gg newjeans alr collected many Daesangs and incredible achievements.. I hope SM found the perfect formula and not only focus on milking their artists~ either with their existing idols or later when another SM gg/bg debuts

I'm gonna be honest with you - I don't want SM to cater to worldwide audiences if that changes their sound. The company sound is unapologetically eclectic and experimental, and if you take a look at what trends in the Western musical sphere, it's basically the direct opposite of that (like just look at how BTS's musical direction shifted as they gained global success - there's no denying their sound changed). Also by what parameters are you measuring "worldwide recognition"? Because while I agree with BP and BTS (and most recently, probably NJ is making their way), I don't know how how TWICE and Stray Kids deserve that status.

@@KY-jd1nl SM has the best music producers and incredible wide range of music styles throughout their various Idols/groups. Not to mention the singing techniques and capabilities of SM vocalists are the best so its just so easy to execute any kind of musics.. has been proven for so many years. All my non-kpop friends and relatives both in west and east mostlu only know abt bp, bts, twice, Nj..recently stray kids and seventeen songs too.. also Skz could easily gain 1-2M likes in their MV within 3-4 days compared to SM artists. I dont follow skz and twice but I do follow Kpopbase accounts and reports in socmed.. their albums purchase powers, their Digital achievements, are rly high

I love *aespa.* Their storyline/lore is intriguing. I love their tracks/songs. Their discography is diverse. Their concept is futuristic. They can nail any concept. Their B-SIDES are amazing.
