It’s a good time to jump on the Aespa train .. they are the current ‘it’ group of 4th gen girl groups. Their new album had over 1.6 million pre-orders. They have been promoting a lot in the US this comeback and was recently on Good Morning America. Their concept and story line is a bit complex. You would have to watch their other videos along with their SM Culture lore videos (which are really good ). But for simplicity sake for this video .. the Black Mamba is the villain and is the dark figure looking at the monitors. The girls break into the Black Mamba hideout and fight their way through the building, each using her own unique skill. They eventually hack into the vault where the Black Mamba’s heart is .. and they destroy it .. thus defeating the Black Mamba which you see evaporating at the end of the video. All that aside the talent in this group is impressive and yes they are all drop dead gorgeous.

Ill try and explain without it being confusing. Aespa, pronounced S-pa. The name takes avater x experience to make their name. Each of the four girls has their own virtual avatar that shows in the video with them. The concept of this group is modeled after the Marvel cinematic universe in a way. They have episodes that correspond to an epsiode with even more visual effects and story line. This video is the conclusion of the first villian, black Mamba. Naevis is the virtual being that always them to go from the real world to Kwanya were their avaters exist. If you watch Aespa episodes 1-2 the lore of the group will be made clear. The songs in story format are structured as follows: Black Mamba - intro song, Next Level - before the fight, Girls - during the fight, and savage after the fight. Perhaps...a slightly more detailed tracklist for you? Start as noted with Black Mamba, released, Nov. 2020. There is also a separate Black Mamba Debut vid. Then watch ep. 1, Black Mamba which is about 17 minutes detailing the 'story' up to that point. Then - even though sort of a 'cover' do Next Level which also explains some of the battles they are having with Black Mamba. Then, Savage which goes through their continuing fight. Then, ep.2 Next Level that gets into the actual confrontation with Black Mamba who was able to come into the Real World at the end of the ep, 2. GIRLS as all about them going to Black Mamba's building and fighting their way to the top - a la Game of Death - where Miss. Ning hacks into Black Mamba's security system unlocking the door to the Power Core that was allowing Black Mamba to exist in the Real and Winter then goes in and destroys the Power Core sending Black Mamba back to the 'Flat' where the next battle will take place. Knowing the entire thread of what SM is creating with AESPA is, imo, so impactful that not knowing really takes away from the whole experience. Loved your first reaction! Looking forward to your other AESPA reactions. Thanks. Oh. and no...Black Mamba is not destroyed just sent back to the 2D world.
