The theory for this MV is that Ningning, Karina, and Winter has their supernova/alien versions with superpowers while Giselle hasn't unlocked her alien self that's why those three are so chaotic to the point that Ningning burned her condo to piss her off so much she would explode like a "Supernova" and eventually she gained also a power of control of time.

on surface level, the lore for this comeback is Aespa from different universes colliding, but referred to as aliens/imposters. These were basically villain aespa which is why its so chaotic and during this MV they were trying to make Giselle explode like a supernova by trolling her (which she does when she rewinds time after ningning ruins her bday XD). Armageddon (the main title track on 27th) will supposedly focus on the clash/meeting of them all. To go a bit deeper, this all started happening after black mamba's defeat (so Spicy era and drama era have been building up on imposter Aespa's messing with things in the real world).

I think on an even more meta level there may be some sort of commentary on the unreliability of AI, what with the AI-animated stills in the last chorus and Karina's backwards legs before the dance break and just the chaotic nature of these possibly real-world-but-affected-by-black-mamba AE-aespa versions.

I think that the identity of aespa members comes from the humor of 'actually we don't take ourselves that seriously', although they carry out their fun concepts seriously, and this can be seen especially often in this song and production. 😉

it's a hard hitting song they have fun with :) They get swiped out in the end by a big sign saying "The End"... I guess a reference to Armageddon as well as the end of the video :) What's going on in the video is hard to decode 100%. Karina is super strong Ning Ning control fire Winter is flying around Giselle come across as the most normal one, having birthday and a broken arm... but she can't pass the "are you an AI" check on her phone. Ning Ning burn her place down ... and she starts to turn back time. It feels like they elute that all of them are AI in this new story line - but also aliens.... I guess we will know more once Armageddon drop. Not sure "Long Chat" gave us many more clues. Mostly eluting to them being aliens. I guess in this new Lore, we move into AI territory. No matter what, this was wild, great, funny, surprising, experimental. A true Aespa song. ;)

To the best of my understanding, we're in a parallel universe, where the aespa girls are baddies? Karina breaks Giselle's phone with her detached thumb slash missile, Ningning crashes and burns her apartment, Winter spins up a hurricane. Everyone ignores Giselle's birthday party, except Ningning who comes to destroy it. Giselle's had enough with the others' pranks, and rewinds time. Not sure what the uncanny lipsync part means, but I love it. BTW, the debris that Regina Georged them out of the MV... if you pause on that frame, there is THEEND written on it, for like a frame and a half :P

I saw someone explaining why everyone was messing with Giselle. Apparently, to create a supernova you need like huge power/strength, air and fire which are embodied by Karina, winter and Ningning respectively. I'm explaining it rather badly, because I don't understand how a supernova is formed lmao. Anyway, the members are trying to get Giselle explode and become a supernova. That's why Katina destroyed everything she touches, Ningning burnt down her apartment and winter create a whole hurricane. They are all low-key bullying Giselle to bring her to a brand new level : her supernova and final from. It can be seen as parallel universe aespa being bad. Hence the new concept of Armageddon about finding the true member or something too.

Haha the music video was definitely meant to be funny and just bringing a lot of Ai elements (the part of the still image and the mouths). Giselle's phone has the images that are AI lip-synched at the end of the video, and it says "select all images with AI". My theory is that these Aespa aren't the real Aespa. They are aliens/AI that came from somewhere else and the Armageddon is a black hole (which also happens on Giselle's birthday). Supernovas precede black holes, and the wind that took them away could be the event horizon of a black hole. Karina, Winter, and Ningning are out in the world causing trouble, and Giselle is trying to control them, that's why she's stressed. She can control time, so she's rewinding their mischief. (And she's stressed because it's not going well and they aren't listening to her)
