Giselle's story is about her being brave and rebellious to Becky and the judges. Becky is a narcissistic housemate(?) who spreads rumors and thinks Giselle is nothing without her. During the acting audition, the judges think Giselle doesn't fit the rebellious character like she did to Becky. The judges wants her to be a passive and insecure character but she disagreed. At the end, she ignores the judges like she left Becky, so she can be herself.

To me, Giselle is going back to the way she truly is. Whenever you see videos of her before aespa, you can tell she's fun, sassy, and confident. Her "role" during the first era of aespa was much more passive and subdued. So now it feels that the new management finally said "this girl can cuss in at least three languages, so let's let her do that" 😅 Winter is particularly strong at conveying emotions through facial expressions, which is ironic because to fit with the original AI concept, she had to keep this poker face - and she always gets criticized for "looking bored." Every time I see her acting a little, especially in serious or intense things, she feels real. Without spoiling much, these two videos are the best because they feel real.

Based on smcu season 1 i thought this time the story definitely something relatable to them too. So i kind of agree with your points.. it's just after watching all 4, Winter story seems different than the others? I feel like 3 of them showing some kind of "duality" of persona/personality (or some kind of expectation vs reality things), except Winter which went straight to killin' it

@@vanada116 yeah, I think it's still more like Ep.2, where you see their insecurities. NingNing faced quite a bit of controversy because she supported her country in I don't remember which games, and again, it's like they tried to "hide" that side of her that makes her... Her. But when the music ends in "this time I won't let go of your hand" it feels like she's saying "you call this my bad girl side but it's just me, and I won't change for someone else ever again". Karina does feel oddly liberating, in that you see her in the spotlight, being all glammed up and exposed and presented as AI-looking, while getting sent to deal with unsavoury stuff. Like, nobody el forget that aespa was supposed to debut a little later and their debut took place earlier to cover for another gg's "scandal" around that time. I don't know, I feel that all of these are subtle ways of parting with their original concept now that they're in the "real world"...
