It was directed by meltmirror. His works are very minimalist and unique. This is his first kpop work. I really love how aespa's team always finds creatives that don't do the conventional kpop concepts, thats how they bring something new every time. Not following trends.

@@JordanOrme please stick with the boycott of SM because of seunghan and riize, please download whiplash and do not stream any SM songs because it goes into supporting SM and hence, their decision to not protect a 20 year old with a contract with them. they made the 20 year old see death wreaths in his name and did not dispose them off (hybe did in the case of suga). who knows they won't do this when a lesser popular member of aespa is dating? by supporting the boycott, you're supporting all SM artists as they will get more humanely treatment in the future.

I think it was very smart because the song is very stimulating so to have less to take in allows us to focus on the song and the choreo. I’m so obsessed with this song. I appreciate that I can take in the shot before a cut. A lot of music videos have so many cuts I can’t even comprehend it. And as he said since the cuts whip with the beat of the song it’s very fluid and it’s so mesmerizing you can’t look away!!!! Soooooo high fashion and c*nty!!!!!!!!!!

hiii, I want to tell you about the storyline in aespa concept (according to me). So when you watch Supernova, Giselle (the pink hair on whiplash mv) had her birthday but Ningning (the ponytail hair girl in whiplash mv) ruined her birthday, so Giselle need a lil help, she called a superhero, *i think* that superhero is Winter (the blonde/black hair girl in whiplash mv) back to Ningning, the cake has a candle, the candle that Ningning burn (with her magic) so the apartment was burning. in the phone, the phone had a message “temperature. phone needs to cool down ……” after that Giselle says in the lyric “it’s about to bang” that means the apartment gonna be explode. Back too whiplash, in whiplash there’s a round metal item that Ningning and Karina (The black hair girl or the pigtails girl in supernova mv) want, at the beggining, Karina wants to touch the round metal item but Giselle in the lyrics say “can’t touch that” and the Giselle hand of course that hit Karina’s hand. and then at 1:06 (mv) 6:02 (this vid) Karina and Ningning see each other that look like they were rival. But did you see at 1:04 (mv) 6 5:43 (this vid) Ningning grabbed that thing in her hand. in the outdoor that the camera Zoom-in look at the heels, look at Ningning heels the one of them had the round metal thing, that is the amulet of Ningning, when Ningning off guard Giselle take the heels off so Ningning can’t do anything again. Giselle unite that thing and give that thing to Winter. Winter and Giselle has a challenge for Karina, Karina has to hit Ningning to get that round thingy for Karina, because Karina is already obsessed with the item, Karina agrees. but in the middle, Karina braked the car because Karina realized what she had done. at 2:25 (mv) 11:22 (this vid) Winter smash that thing and at the end or at 3:00 (mv) 14:02 (this vid) they were together without that thing. THAT’S IT FORM ME, THANK YOUUU

That's why I feel so impressed by this mv, how they directed it and made it into THIS masterpiece, make this "simple"-looking mv seems somehow luxurious and so interesting to watch.
