Good question: I’m keeping a lot of big files like my raw video files in an external storage which is like a fraction of the cost of upgrading the storage. Like I can get a 1TB thing for a lot cheaper so I didn’t think it’s necessary. I needed the ram for video editing and other programs!

I edit videos, use it for class, and i run programs like figma, adobe creative suite, etc. So a little more than just internet surfing

@@nnamdiosuji8854 I got the 16/512 and I think it will be worth it to have the extra ram, especially for future proofing. There's nothing worse than trying to just like open a few apps and switching between 10 chrome tabs and then have to wait for it to finish lagging

@@nnamdiosuji8854 More RAM is never a waste of money. I'm getting the 16/512 and have to wait up to 2 months since it's customized. I won't use it for editing, but I do occasionally play a "soft" game.

Ahhh ya the starlight is a super subtle gold. It’s like a warm silver LOL idk if that makes sense. On a yellow toned surface, it looks super grey but on a white surface you notice more that it’s actually gold

So far, I don't notice it getting hot. I've edited a video, ran multiple applications during a zoom class, etc. I also have it on a laptop stand that lets it breathe more

Wait I’m so confused about your upgrades like if you really were upgrading from a old Mac it makes sense but you unboxed this and uploaded it after the m2 MacBook Pro and they have the same chip and the m2 MacBook cost $100 more

I had the macbook air with the intel chip and bought the m2 macbook pro but I ended up returning the pro for this one because I wasn't a fan of the grey color!
