Rewatch it several times. There’s hundreds of amazing details in each scene. One of my favorite details is during the suppression scene where the Astartes open up with full auto against the psykers from above. You can see the recoil of the guns and how the soldiers have to use two hands to pin their massive weapons to the railing just to keep the insane recoil under control. And those are genetically-enhanced super-soldiers encased in heavy, servo-augmented power armor! They can rip a normal human in half with almost no effort! In that scene you can also see for a split second how the triggers on each bolter (the guns they use) has a double-action safety. They pull back once, then pull a little further to fully engage the firing mechanism. It’s all subtle stuff, but so, so cool. He also completely skipped the part where the crew of the ship set up an ambush in a tight corridor with a semi-automatic anti-material rifle against the Astartes.

@Scudboy172 жыл бұрын
Just a quick explanation for people new to Warhammer 40k. The big guys in armor are Adeptus Astartes AKA Space Marines. They are heavily genetically and cybernetically enhanced super soldiers in power armor. Think Captain America wearing slightly less powerful Ironman armor and you'd be pretty close. They are attacking a Chaos spacecraft- Chaos are the evil demon worshipping bad guys, one group of them anyway. The ships are huge- the smallest ship in a fleet is about the size of a Star Destroyer from Star Wars. The Space Marines are being launched in a boarding torpedo fired into the enemy ship- think drill tipped ICBM but with space Marines in the warhead instead a nuclear bomb. The humans are all chaos worshippers who have rebelled again the Empire humanity largely belongs to. So the Empire fires one torpedo full of one squad of space Marines to take out the whole ship- which is about three kilometers long with a crew of about 20k, and that would be considered overkill. The space Marines are there to capture the alien/chaos artifact and bring it back and annihilate anything in their way. Their guns- known as bolters- shoot small high explosive rockets know as bolts. They explode after they enter a person's body, making them extremely deadly. The two guys with the fancy masks and spinal extensions are psykers- basically sorcerer's or psychics that have immense power but are prone to summoning demons every time they use their powers. On the other ship, this guy in the robe with the big 'I" and skull logo is an Inquisitor. He's one of the highest ranking officials in the Empire and is the guy calling the shots directing the Marines on this mission. He's also a psyker- usually a far more disciplined and controlled one- and is using a Chaos artifact to communicate with the artifact on the other ship. The space marine in the fancy cape is the Captain of that company of space Marines. He sees the inquisitor losing control and takes him out as any good soldier of the Imperium would do. The artifact on the other ship ends up absorbing the Marines sent to capture it and drags them into the Warp- think of it as Hell and you won't be wrong. Hopefully chapter 2 of this series will explain things a bit more, but that's a quick and dirty explanation of what you were watching.

5:56 I didn't know a whole lot about WH40K when I watched these as they came out... "HERESY!" memes aside... despite having played an early iteration of WH (Bloodbowl) back in the late 1980s. then I saw these... and then I had to know more. Luetin09's channel taught me much, then Bruva Alphabusa's TTS parody series, and Bricky, and MajorKill, then Janovich's many works... then (oddly) FlashGitz' insane Furry Crusade parody series... I haven't yet gone insane and started buying minis, but I have started to consume the Black Library. All because of Astartes. Now, you. one of us... one of us... Welcome to the grimdark future, Brother, where there is only War.

Astartes are made through surgery, training and combat experience. Training and Combat experience they gain before coming a full battle-brother (astartes), the surgery gives them 19 new organs (21 if they are the Primaris kind of spacemarines), and the also get implanted with gene-seed from one of the 9 primarchs that remained loyal. The gene-seed alters both appearance and behavior to be more of that of the primarch. 9:58 there is alot of occult stuff in warhammer 40k, or atleast what we consider to be occult. There exist demons (daemons) definitively, there exist ''gods'' or entities with the power of gods. 10:10 so i believe the reason why his right to life was revoked, was becuase he was getting possesed by the orb, so to make sure no further harm befalls anyone else on board he was perminantly fired from life.

To anyone interested in more 40K I highly recommend watching Adeptus Ridiculous. It's a Lore channel on KZbin but has a comedic nature to it to make the telling of 40ks lore more digestible to people who don't know or are looking to learn more about it. Really funny stuff, it's made by Bricky, DK Diamentes and Shy.

Forgot about Bruva Alfabusa and the series "if the emperor had a text-to-speech device" and some of his other works not related to 40k

Adeptus ridiculous is a fun podcast and is responsible for getting me into the hobby, but they are horribly inaccurate a decent amount of the time and tend to misrepresent things, particularly imperium stuff

@@chistosquisto9079 Oh 100% agreed, yeah its great entry level stuff for sure. Get you interested in watching the bigger chonky lore channels like Chapter Master Valrak and Luetin.

And this beautiful talent, this magnificent FREE ADVERTISING was attacked by Games Workshop. One of the other top fan creators has since moved on to World of Darkness and other projects.

I always love it when people ask if a faction in Warhammer are good or bad, it's so cute. They're all bad, and you get to pick which flavor of bad you like most. Myself? Well, for the Emperor!

There are good guys in Warhammer but they are few and far between. Examples amongst the Space Marines include the Salamanders and the Lamenters, but even these guys are not saints.
