Ancient Vendetta has amazing flavor! I love everything about it except for the artwork. It’s so messy and hard to tell what’s happening. Just imagine old school magic style. Two old and jaded wizards, confronting each other after hundreds of years of magic induced madness and spite. But instead we get someone in a chariot zapping a car. 😢

Memory guardian and ticket tortoise look like pieces to the lotus deck. Also, you can sac memory guardian to the reconstructing artifact to tutor up lotus onto the battlefield.

Guidelight Matrix’s timing restriction on its first ability is just because Saddle is already sorcery speed. And I guess maybe with some Mounts it could function as a combat trick if it was instant speed.

Feeling kinda underwhelmed by the flavour of the set. 10 different teams, (at least one of which we haven't seen before and are intended as a prelude to the sci-fi set), speeding over three different planes makes for a pretty diffuse sense of what's going on. In other sets, the mechanics could pull some of that weight, but the logic of a race is hard to incorporate into standard magic, and might have been better suited to an Arch-Enemy style side game. Maybe it'll all shake out in draft. Hope so. In our expanded 12-set standard, perhaps limited formats are where individual set releases will make their mark.

First love your videos. About this one, I honestly had a hard time listening to it. It was all the loud swallowing as I’m assuming you had a throat lozenge or something you were sucking on to help with your voice after talking so much on videos. How is Memory Guardian not good in Modern Affinity Dev?!? This turn 2, or godhand turn 1. It doesn't die to Fatal Push or a Bolt, and it triggers Simulacrum. This card is bonkers in the deck.

Because deck space (if they keep insisting with playing with 60 card decks as if it is a strict standard and not what it actually is: A minimum to play on) too tight already and none of the cards in that deck can really be cut out to put this one in

Wotc doesn't design around set mechanics across several sets like they used to (they were called blocks). Exhaust most likely wont appear in return to tarkir, or it will be on 1 card. This ultimately is unfortunate. While unpopular mechanics would get revisited several sets in a row, the same was true of popular mechanics. It was nice having mtg designers flex their chops over 3 sets worth of cards and have a better story on top of that, than the current method of pumping out 40 cards with the same mechanic over 5 colors, multiple times in one set, before jumping to the next set's-worth of mechanics.

Great cards that will impact different formats. A nice shiny to trashy artwork combining Amonkhet with Mirage and Mario Cart-style. And of course, Dev's comments are the icing on the cake!
