My only real hesitation with this bumper is the weight, according to the forums it's about 250 lbs. With a Warn 16.5 in it that's over 350 lbs. added to the front of your truck (on top of an already heavy Cummins engine), and I have to imagine that would impact the handling.

I honestly haven’t noticed a difference in the handling. Granted I already a decent amount of weight added on. I see your point and it is very heavy

@@rebeloutdoors1621 If you don't notice it, that's a good sign! I would still be a little concerned about overall wear and tear on the suspension, but if you're not noticing nose dive on braking or stiffer landings off obstacles that's good to know.

@@lifescansdarkly There's no doubt it'll affect it to some extent. It's a tradeoff of gaining the other benefits of the bumper - additional protection, and winching capability.

@@hudsoncraftworks I think I'd feel best running that bumper on a 3500, on the 2500 it's feasible to max out the payload when you're loaded up with passengers and overland gear. I do like the winch capability, and especially with the brush guard (if it's ever in stock), I would appreciate the extra deer protection on rural highways.

I have the AEV on my 21’ Ram Cummins 4x4. The only complaint is that the Bull Bar blocks my front camera. The winch works perfect 🤩 I went with the Baja Designs lights too.

@@rebeloutdoors1621 From the video, I can see that yours is much shorter ( closer to the bumper ). I also cut a piece of 1/4” thick rubber to cover the winch area. It is attached at the front-top so that it can be lifted to access the free-spool lever.

another question....would the grill winter cover fit on the front? i live in -50C weather and will need the cover on the grill

That's the only thing I don't love. This bumper was originally designed for the 4th gen which is much flatter under the headlights.

I’ve been looking at that bumper for my ram 2500. I can’t quite tell by the pictures and videos I’ve seen if it’s more high clearance than that factory chrome bumper? Or does it come down just as far in front of the tires?

first point, YOU LOOK TINY in front of that truck. In the beginning of the video, I thought you just had a picture of the truck blown up in a green screen. Then you reached back and touched the bumper.. and @ 4:42 , I swear it was a green screen until you touched it again. You don’t look like a small guy.. until you get in front of that truck.
