I really enjoyed Dave Brown and Excalibur on commentary. And I REALLY like that AEW made it a point to show why having him be apart of a '4 man' booth last week meant so much. Very cool. Like how AEW always rewards you for watching all their stuff with continuity like this.

Really dug the Legends of Memphis segment, I learned about a lot of legends I wasn't familiar with and got to see guys like Lanny Pofo and Austin Idol still out there with the crowd in the palm of their hands, so great! Not to mention Rock n' Roll, who seem to defy nature by still rockin harder than guys half their ages. I'd love to see more of these done when Dynamite is in other territory hotbeds, especially the Texas and Florida scenes.

Small Detail, but at around 49:40 when Avalon did a loud clap without the ref seeing, and then the ref pointing at his ears saying he heard the sound of the tag, I thought that was really clever, you don't really see that too much.

LJ54 ref’s are props in a match, what happens when you hit a ref? They fall down and pass out for half the match, it’s a heel’s job to generate heat and be mischievous, with that one spot with the ref, Avalon did both, it was awesome. No such thing as burying a ref

@@b.broady5557 strongly disagree. Referees are characters just like the wrestlers, not props. Without a ref to enforce the rules a wrestler has no n rules to break and get heat. A bad ref might not ruin a great match but a great ref will make a great match amazing.

@LJ54 just the opposite actually. By clapping his hands to sound like a tag, it lets them break the rules while realistically fooling the ref. Burying the ref would be just going in and out whenever they want with no regard to the ref at all. Doing this still shows respect for the referee and rules, while simultaneously breaking them. Definitely a smart move.

My brother and I were there for this episode they filmed the tribute to the Memphis legends before AEW Dynamite aired then they filmed AEW Dark after the show. It was wild

TAFKASYFY going to AEW Dynamite was one of the best choices I ever made. It was worth the price of a ticket. If you can go do it because while I have been to WWE pay per view, house shows and Raw I can honestly say going to AEW was like a breath of fresh air because the fans sincerely enjoy the matches. It was a experience like no other. AEW might be a young company but they are really showing how wrestling is spelled W.R.E.S.T.L.I.N.G. So if you get the chance to get AEW tickets buy them don’t think about it buy them it will be really worth your hard earn money

I’m 54 yrs old, was fortunate enough to grow up listening to Dave Brown and Lance Russell. Handsome Jimmy Valiant was an awesome wrestler. It’s so awesome to see some of the wrestlers that set the stage for wrestling on TV. I’ve been so lucky to have witnessed so many greats.

As someone who watched Memphis wrestling on Saturday Mornings since late 1979 until the USWA died in the early 90s, I can't thank you guys enough for that tribute, and a special thanks for putting Dave on commentary. Evidently, a bunch of people really enjoyed it. We all knew he was amazing. Can't wait for Dynamite tomorrow night too. Keep on putting on great shows and ignore the WWE trolls.
