Taz and Excalibur might be my favorite commentary duo in wrestling right now lol I loved Taz on Smackdown and even TNA for awhile... but I forgot just how good he is when the product is high quality. I discovered Excalibur when AEW debuted and week by week, he sounds more comfortable at the desk. He's quickly becoming one of *the* best pro wrestling announcers and gives me wicked prime WCW Mike Tenay vibes with his infinite knowledge. When ya boil it all down, both Taz and Excalibur sound like fans of pro wrestling at heart, who just happened to be mic'd up while they watch the show, which is exactly what ya want from announcers.

JR comes off clueless at times and doesn't care for some of these gimmicks and his commentary in AEW shows that. With Taz, I feel like he can just 'go with it' and can also bring his wrestling knowledge and be serious too while goofing off with Ex.

It's amazing how so many AEW wrestlers can look good even in defeat. That's in contrast to WWE where most matches are zero sum. For one wrestler to look good, the other must look bad.

@@Demongunner7 For me the worst parts are the ones who get squashed. Why would I be interested in the next match from someone who just got beat in seconds? I felt that way for a good chunk of WWE's woman's roster after the recent Elimination Chamber PPV. Sometimes I think AEW's secret weapon is not in those who win, but in those who can eat a loss without taking a hit to their reputation. That allows AEW to have a large pool of viable wrestlers when booking matches at all levels. In contrast, WWE gets stuck with not having credible wrestlers for upper card matches. They then have to quickly elevate someone by giving them squash matches which just perpetuates the cycle. It also forces WWE to be shortsighted in storytelling because challengers are only elevated shortly before a major match.

@@KenMathis1 Just nailed the main problem with WWE right on the head. Look at Rowan on RAW yesterday squashed inside 3 minutes after months of beating jobbers. In 2 weeks time they will expect everyone to believe he is a monster again (To me it's poor booking). Now look at Darby Allin who despite losing a few matches is allowed to show his talent & moves. Therefore when I see him next time I still feel he's a rising star!!

crazyli no disrespect to Sonny Kiss, but I couldn’t see it. Cutler is building up his credibility though. Someone had to eat the pin, and I was fine with the choice. Kiss is one of the few, also Avalon, who just simply lack to credibility of winning-however both, particularly Kiss, show off impressive skills.
