Match of the year. No doubt. Ospreay is on a whole another level.
@PaulJackson729Ай бұрын
One thing that this match did prove is that not every single match needs to be story driven or character driven. It was simply two of the absolute best in the ring going out there and putting on a clinic.
@Brockpurdy26220 күн бұрын
They still ended up telling a great story with that match with the whole drama of the tiger driver, osprey retiring the move, mjf trying to use it, then Bryan giving will permission to use it again

AEW has a lot of haters but moments like this can't be taken away! Whether it lives or dies, AEW has provided some fantastic pro-wrestling moments since 2019, IN MY OPINION FWIW. I don't really give a shit if the internet agrees 😀

@@christiancharles2866 For technical wrestling and imaginative in-ring booking, I mean, I'm not sure a single wrestler on the WWE roster would crack the top 10 of AEW now. Sad because I remember a time when Sami Zayn was a better rope-to-rope wrestler than PAC but that was a long, long time ago and, while PAC has only gotten better, WWE has used Zayn as a punching bag and, even accounting for how he's booked, I can tell he's not what he was. Balor once, for sure, but he's been going a long time and he's also been totally wasted for years now. Nakamura sadly past his prime. McIntyre maybe a worthy addition? As for booking, wow, if there's no stip to force something different, I swear if you've seen one Tag Match in the last 20 years, you've pretty much seen them all. That said... I've thoroughly enjoyed both these last couple of years. Totally get that the kind of storytelling and characterisation WWE is doing now is a long way from what some wrestling fans want but, what can I say? I'm a massive sap so it works well. I can put myself in 'mark mode' for WWE events and then be dazzled by the sheer in-ring mastery you get match after match when an AEW one rolls around. Business-wise, I'm not going to pretend I've worked a _lot_ in Business Recovery but I have some and I've been trained plenty. Companies don't go under just because they're running at a loss, even if they're consistently running at a loss - if their revenue is growing, it barely need be a problem - it's almost _always_ not having access to cash at the wrong time that sinks them. Anyone who's rooting for AEW to go under will be waiting their whole lives before Tony Khan runs out of funds. More than that, WWE marks don't have to watch AEW, they don't have to like it - but they should still be damn grateful it exists. If you don't like how WWE does things in general, it's not going to make any odds, but it's still a Hell of a lot better than it was when it basically had a monopoly on the US market. It's had to be or, at some point, even the most casual of fans would have found AEW eventually and never looked back.

@@ProjectLUCAX It's just been confirmed that Danielson has a legit injury. it happened during the match and it was no one's fault. He has compression of the nerve root at C6, C7 and T1. He said he's got shooting pains down his right arm and he might need surgery if he can't get the strength back in his hand. He plans to stay at home and do physical therapy.
