I disagree that this is an issue with Mone. Yes, it's her job to get her opponents over, which overall I believe she has done. This is more of an AEW booking problem. They need to capitalize on these feuds and continue to push these wrestlers, but they don't. Mina, Anna, Shida, and Britt all disappeared after their losses to Mone. That's not her fault - it's the booking.

I kinda disagree with Willow, after working with Mone she went into one of the VERY few Woman's feuds in the last four years that didn't involve a title or a man (vs. Statlander - yes it ended up being for a title, but that was a biproduct of Vacquer signing). Her feud with Statlander was fine, but the follow up to that wasnt there. Same with Statlander, she is actually better off after working with Mone, her problem was she went from face to heel to face faster than Big Show used to, so she didnt have any momentum coming in. And Willow had a program against Mariah May (World Champion) after that. AEW Women's Division needs to be booked better, and having Mercedes as a bigger star than Mariah May hurts that, so AEW should use Mercedes to solidify Mariah by losing to her clean (copying Ospreay vs. Swerve since losing to the World Champion shouldnt cost you any momentum). While that feud is happening, you build up Hayter or Willow to dethrone Mercedes and then the Women's division is reset, Mariah May if followed up on is a made star, Mercedes then puts over Hayter or Willow. I dont think Mercedes is the problem, its the fact that after Mercedes they don't seem to have any follow up to carrry on any possible momentum from working with her.

The thing is she didn't put over Vacquer, Stephanie put her over and made her look good in that match and that's what got WWE's attention. Normally I'd say the onus is on creative to put people over, but she has creative control so she absolutely should be saying she wants a storyline where it builds up the babyface and puts them over to end the feud. Winning every match then moving on to the next opponent is not going to get anyone more over after the match. A good heel always gets their comeuppance, and until somebody has a storyline with her where they go over she's not doing her job as a heel.

@onenation4164 Cool story but the fact is Vacquer put her over and that's what got her on WWE's radar. If she didn't put in one hell of a performance elevating Mercedes she'd be just like all the others who are jobbing to her who WWE isn't(as far as I know I'm not an insider so this is me going off of no reporting on it) actively pursuing. The difference between a Syephanie Vacquer and Mercedes Vernado is that Mercedes is an egomaniac who only cares if she looks good in a match, whereas Vacquer actually makes her opponent look good whether she's going over or putting them over. Even in WWE as Sasha Banks she only looked good because she had good opponents. Ain't believe me look at her matches in AEW her opponents never look strong in their losses to her and since she has creative control she's being booked like a female Goldberg where none of her opponents seem like a credible threat.

Acquisitions cease being "key" when the company starts oversigning and bringing in more talent than they can reasonably feature. That's one of AEW's biggest problems; they need to stop signing so many new wrestlers only to feature them for a month and then bury them in catering once they either get injured or the manchild gets bored and signs more new talent to bury.
