If everyone's favorite wrestler was booked at the top all the time, there wouldn't be a show. AEW Dynamite matches are all at main event level, so just because Penta isn't always in the main event does not mean fans like myself don't put him on the same level as Kenny Omega. Penta is unbelievably respected in the industry by fans and peers alike, you're getting your feelings confused with reality. They're not the same.

I love the line Cassidy admitting that title means everything to him. Because at first glance the OC character doesn't care, even admitted himself the OC character is a pro wrestler who doesn't want to wrestle. Yet him finally getting a big win holding that championship made him care made him wanna wrestle and defend it. I'd honestly like if they gradually start showing some more dimension layers to Cassidy with some more promo time here or there. Especially since he doesn't talk much.

Orange Cassidy is underrated. The way he gets the crowd engage with comebacks through the match reminds me of shawn, not as dramatic but in that relm of even though he’s getting his ass whooped, he’s gonna pull off a win somehow. He’s lowkey the best champion of 2023 throughout all major wrestling companies because of the consistency ,the length of his matches and the story telling. All 23 defenses haven’t been squash matches (from what I can remember) might have to go back and rewatch.

The only reason he was in overlooked was cause of what he said, being different and his size. People that think that way twist the perception of what a wrestler is accomplishing. He entertains fans, he has bangers of wrestling matches, and wins them in many different ways. Can't ask for much more. I hope he beats Moxley. There's not too many guys that can have a dozen of title defenses and still be fun to watch. Cause he didn't need major storylines to make his matches entertaining to watch.

I'ma respect the gimmick,and instead I'll say TRUTH He took a title that felt like absolutely nothing, and turned it into probably the top workhorse belt in all of wrestling. He went from "hur hur, he's that guy with his hands in his pockets" to an undeniable top champion in the business. He has shown so much growth in his character, while staying true to himself. And he's had a great story arc over the course of his defenses, slowly being worn down, but never giving up, showing his true potential that he's always hidden behind his cool, aloof facade. If you had told me a year ago Orange Cassidy was going to be in a position where he was not only going to face Jon Moxley in a title match, but it felt extremely unlikely that Orange Cassidy was gonna lose that title match, I might not have believed you. This is how much of a contender OC has become.

I like his run and this promo. It's given some definition to the OC character. I like he's someone seen as a joke yet is a great wrestler when he goes. I feel like in kayfabe the OC whatever style is a mask. Kinda like when Spiderman jokes non stop fighting a villain. It's to cover up being scared, not wanting the other to know they're better. So in OC's case it's keep that front up so people let their guard down. But with all the defenses being tired gradually worn down so much he's showing the real guy caring deeply about this all.
