104 million means the roster averages 500k. But if you look at ppl like Moxley, rumored at 6 million, Okada at 3.5, Monet(being the highest paid woman)has to be at least 2 million, ostridge has to be making a couple million. We are already down to 90 mil left before we even cover Edge, Daniel Bryan, Jericho, Bucks, Omega, MJF, Christian(rumored at 1 mil), their "4 pillars", Hangman, Swerve, which at even onlt 1 mil each(which some are obviously making more) brings the budget down to 76 million for the other 173. I feel like he spends more than 104 million. 104 million may be a number he wrote down as a budget, but he is blowing past that.

I was a fan during the Attitude era. A ringside seat at a WCW show cost significantly less that a nose bleed seat at an AEW show. I sat ring side numerous times at WCW shows and spent less than $100. If tony wants to make an accurate comparison, then compare tickets sold.

if this is legit then 200 million a year wont be enough for a tv contract. its 500k per episode of dynamite which adds up to 26 million per year. chances are collision has the same cost so thats 52 million per year on tv. that+ the salaries add up to 156 million per year. then tony has to pay for taxes, travel, security there is no way they are in the black. they need sponsors to cover costs BADLY

If you are a hot product you will immediately get a bunch of offers and select the best. WWE closed their deals very quickly. The only time I remember them having issues closing TV deals was several years ago in the mid 2010s when they were ice cold.

So WWE has Rhea Ripley (probably the best womens wrestler all around in the world right now) Bianca, Charlotte, Bayley, Iyo, Asuka, Kairi (3 of the best joshi's of all time) all over and get reactions from the fans. As well as talent on the lower card who either haven't been given a push yet but are really good in the ring like Piper, Blair Davenport ect. AEW's women division lacks depth and doesnt have many over women on the roster. Thunda Rosa, Shida, Hayter and Toni are probably the only women on there roster I think are actually great. Sasha is okay but has been cringe af with her AEW run

It says a lot when Tony and Dave have to bash WWE to make AEW look good. That's no different than political candidates that never say how good they are but rather how bad their opponent is. I think I read on wrestle nomics that the aew average for the last ten weeks is about 690k. That's not so great. But I'm sure they'll have some excuse. And I agree that people like to see good wrestling but it has to mean something. I'm not going to watch a pro sporting event just because it's two teams that that are in a good rivalry. Like if the Yankees are in fourth place and the Red Sox are in fifth place the game means nothing. That's what AEW is like in a sense that their matches are big names but they mean nothing cuz there's no build.

I get all the AEW hate, but let's be real, they only bomb on the ratings when other channels are playing tv programming. If other channels didn't air good programming during primetime, which is predatory af, AEW would be drawing several numbers of viewers.
