Part of his mystique is that his ring psychology is different than what is expected from pro wrestlers. He's quiet and focused and no frills but his moves are executed beautifully. A Jazz Musician shows his mastery with the notes he doesn't play, and a wrestler shows his mastery with the moves he doesn't use. Hook is still small enough to be a high flyer, but he never leaves his feet and relies exclusively on his amazing grounded offense, which these days is incredibly refreshing. He's basically got that feel of an old school no nonsense technician like Bret Hart or Dean Malinko. I really loved how in this match both of these guys were able to show their amateur style skills as part of the match. Honestly, I thought this match was gonna be Hook's first real challenge.
