We never knew why he had his hiatus (beyond a kayfabe suspension...) but Swerve just revealed why, and how he knows...and completely floors Hangman, takes him right back to the dark place, knowing what Swerve can do OUTSIDE the ring. This. This is so fantastic right here. This level of authenticity is what the rest of the roster ought to have. Excellent character work by both men throughout this feud, excellent work on the mic here to illustrate the difference between the two mindsets. The slow, deliberate pacing of his words, and the changes in facial expression and body language with Hangman..you can see Swerve's words got to him. Brilliant work by both men, and I live for other feuds and wrestlers within AEW to have this level of story, intensity, and authenticity. (Yes, I'm also counting Mariah v Toni, because that one is also fantastic)
