@@JoshuaC Wasn’t real steel, like other chairs.
@88Magician883 ай бұрын
@@stevonwhite8933 It was a real chair. He took the shot on the seat part which allowed the chair to absorb most of the impact. No folding chair is made out of steel. That would just be too heavy for practical applications. They are usually made out of aluminium. It's also why you will see wrestlers use baking sheets in hardcore matches, same principle. Thin deformable metal sheet = the metal object absorbing most of the impact instead of the person it is hitting. Those metal folding chairs have very thin metal seats. If you watch it in slow motion you can see the seat deform and absorb nearly all the impact. It's why cars look so bad after wreaks, they are designed to do that to absorb impact. The real way to hit someone with on object like that and make it hurt is follow through. If you ever notice when wrestlers hit their opponents with chairs they stop right when they make contact. This allows the impact to be absorbed by the deformation and no additional force to be applied. Don't follow through and you get the sound and visual effects without most of the damage.

Great match...... i understand the liiiitle "flat finish" remark and agree... itz a difficult stipulation to have that not being the case. Not a bad finish at all tho and that match was sooooo well put together and executed. The ELITE and ridiculously good when involved in anything like this, especially when they get to play the heels. Also... that guitar shot to Brandon Cutler and the staple to Okada's middle finger got instantly replayed a few times 😂

I saw exactly what I expected to: sloppy indy level bullshit! Televised bum fight.

Go back and watch WCW wargames a few weren't great finishers! So its kinda hard to get a great climax to these types of stipulated matches

I've seen previous Blood and Guts. This was the best and the Most Violent. They left it all in both rings!!
@ChurchOfTUPAC4 ай бұрын
Yup. I've seen them all and it was definitely my favourite. To me, it helped that the ELITE were in it and that they were heels. They can put top quality matches like this together in their sleep, and then there's other ppl's input also. Amazing match.

This was fantastic! Darby Allin is a ninja warrior! Swerve and Hangman will fight forever, Jack Perry is a beast

That one main "chair shot" was done very good. Sounded and looked excellent and was as safe as it could be performed. Great job guys. Thank you.

Stop complaining about the ending. That ending was perfect and the match was incredible.
@alternative75864 ай бұрын
Yes! Plus it set up possibly a division in the Elite and 2 new and/or possible storylines: 1. Jack Perry (c) vs. Darby Allin for the TNT Title 2. Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. "Hangman" Adam Page for the AEW Continental Classic It was either that or Jack Perry dies on TV

No it wasn't it was a good match but definitely the weakest blood and guts match that they've had

2022 blood and guts was still the best

The ending was about as far from perfect as you can get to be honest. The match itself however, held up fairly well.

And the kendo stick to the ribs. Briscoe broke it on him. That’s how crazy that last shot was.
@Colt2OO24 ай бұрын
Yeah that was fucked for sure, wasn't expecting an unprotected chair shot to the head in 2024 but I'm here for it as long as it's not reckless. I think Mark's taken and done enough of them in his career to know what he was doing though, so I'm sure Jack came out fine from it

This was my first wrestling match I've ever gotten to see live...this match was amazing. Maybe it's the fact it washed the taste of my favorite wrestler playing chest slap for 10 minuets like 3 matches before this match but for me it made the night for me

This match made Swerve look like the badass monster he was during the Hangman feud. Also, it really put over Jack Perry. Took a big beating and refused to quit.

Swerve has one of the best move sets in pro wrestling. Never get bored during any match hes in.
