Love what I'm seeing here with Swerve going over. I'm hoping he wins the tournament, because it will show that Tony Kahn is thinking about the future. He's not necessarily the only "right" choice, but he is only 33 years old and clearly has everything going for him. Have him win, turn him babyface and you've got yourself the next AEW posterboy if MJF leaves (and if he doesn't leave you have 2 of them.) AEW has a lot of great talent, but some of that talent is just too old to carry the company forward into the future. They still have a ton of value and can be a huge help, but their time is most likely going to be limited. So I continue to look at guys like Swerve, Samoa Joe (He's getting older but should still have 3 or more good years in him), Jay Lethal, Miro, Ricky Starks and a few others as the obvious top card guys for the future. Even Orange Cassidy (who is very polarizing, but I side with Tony Kahn in believing in him) I think could be a *near* top guy. I don't care what anyone says, he's a very original character, very entertaining, and I think he's a great wrestler as well. He may not have the stereotypical pro wrestler look, but this isn't the 80's anymore. Times have changed, just like they did in the early 00's when guys like Eddie Guerrero and Chris Jericho started to be looked at as world champion material.
