Who's dumb idea in wrestling is that the person to earn a world title shot you have to beat the world champion!?

It started as a non title match that was unsanctioned by the nwa. So they would advertise the match and if they would win the match then the nwa would sanction a rematch for the belt. It was a way for other promotions to use the world champion and the name of the nwa to elevate the promotion without the nwa specific go ahead. But in reality the nwa controlled almost every territory so it was all a way for the Babyface to get a win on the heel without the title changing hand. And the fans would be hot and demand a rematch for the belt which is the old territorys way of doing business. Keep them invested for one more match so they would buy two tickets instead of the one. But in today's day and age it's completely stupid but there is a very good reason for doing it in the past. And this all started in the 50s and 60s and continued into the 80s. Then Vince started doing it and forgetting the whole plot to begin with and made the whole thing meaningless. Now Tony's doing the same and completely forgetting how we got here.

I wish Queen didn’t lose and they actually saved it for an actual title match. They should’ve had toni come and attack mariah in this match causing QUEEN to lose and queen uses that for an actual title match. It can either be a one vs one or triple threat between mariah, toni and queen.
