You couldn’t let this be Sting’s last TV appearance on TBS if he didn’t come down from the rafters. The crow era Sting will be one of my favorite times.

Stings whole run in AEW has been tasteful and perfect. This is how you book a legend, it's never felt like he's taken a spot from a younger guy but instead feels like he's been a part of the roster the whole time

I was 16 years old in 1988 when I first saw Sting in NWA/WCW on WTBS. He beat Ric Flair for the title a month after I graduated high school in 1990. Great American Bash in Baltimore July 7. Followed him through his entire career. To see Sting come out of the rafters for his last Dynamite was a fitting end for him on TV. I'm about to be 52 and to see Sting still performing at a high level, never aging, and quitting while he still "got it" is the perfect end. God Bless Steve Borden. God Bless STING!

Exact same here. I first saw an article on Sting in PWI magazine in 1990. I thought he was really cool. Like a NWA/WCW version of the Ultimate Warrior. Then I saw him wrestle on TV on Saturday Morning and noticed that he was a better wrestler than the Ultimate Warrior and fans went absolutely crazy for Sting. I always loved Surfer Sting the best. It's what I grew up with. I'm now 44 and was always a loyal Sting fan and he will always be my favorite wrestler of all time.

Having Flair come down to attack the Bucks was unnecessary. They could have had Sting come down from the rafters after Darby was hit with the EVP trigger. They could have hit his music , the Bucks would be standing by the ropes looking towards the stage , then Sting would come down right to the center of the ring while the Bucks have their backs towards him.

Damn, I was sitting here thinking how awesome it would be if he came down from the rafters one final time but never thought they'd actually do it! I'm so damn sad that this is it for Sting. He deserves to finally settle down, but it truly feels like the end of an era. He has been my favorite since I was 6 years old. Even when I stopped watching wrestling, I'd always keep up with Sting's matches and his career. I became a fan of AEW because he showed up there when I thought he was already done for good. I likely never would have even cared to check the product out and now I'm always watching. I'm also happy to see that half the arena wasn't closed off for this moment and that people still cared enough to show up. Damn, I'm gonna miss this man so much. I hope his last match goes great and he gets the happy ending he deserves. This is starting out to be one hell of a send-off to a legend.

Sting is my favorite wrestler. I watched back in the 80’s when he first came to NWA/WCW wrestling. I got a chance to meet him and get a photo with him back in 1988. Then I met him again and got his autograph back in 1994. Sting is a cool guy.

Sting has been my all time favorite wrestler ever since I started watching wrestling as a 4 year old little stinger all the way back in 94! Thank you Sting for the memories! I’ll miss watching you put on a show but I’m beyond thrilled that you are going out on your own terms! Again thank you Sting and God Bless!

This is Awesome ! I'm having flashbacks of a 1990's (WCW Monday) Nitro show (on the TNT Network) with the Stinger doing the rafter drop...("It's STTTIINNNGGG !" - Tony Schiavone) after seeing the "Nature Boy," Ric Flair coming to the ring.. WOOOOOOOO !
