I was 16 years old in 1988 when I first saw Sting in NWA/WCW on WTBS. He beat Ric Flair for the title a month after I graduated high school in 1990. Great American Bash in Baltimore July 7. Followed him through his entire career. To see Sting come out of the rafters for his last Dynamite was a fitting end for him on TV. I'm about to be 52 and to see Sting still performing at a high level, never aging, and quitting while he still "got it" is the perfect end. God Bless Steve Borden. God Bless STING!

Having Flair come down to attack the Bucks was unnecessary. They could have had Sting come down from the rafters after Darby was hit with the EVP trigger. They could have hit his music , the Bucks would be standing by the ropes looking towards the stage , then Sting would come down right to the center of the ring while the Bucks have their backs towards him.

Damn, I was sitting here thinking how awesome it would be if he came down from the rafters one final time but never thought they'd actually do it! I'm so damn sad that this is it for Sting. He deserves to finally settle down, but it truly feels like the end of an era. He has been my favorite since I was 6 years old. Even when I stopped watching wrestling, I'd always keep up with Sting's matches and his career. I became a fan of AEW because he showed up there when I thought he was already done for good. I likely never would have even cared to check the product out and now I'm always watching. I'm also happy to see that half the arena wasn't closed off for this moment and that people still cared enough to show up. Damn, I'm gonna miss this man so much. I hope his last match goes great and he gets the happy ending he deserves. This is starting out to be one hell of a send-off to a legend.
