i think this game will do better and better each time a new character/kameo comes out, and if more QoL features/modes are added then itll be in a great spot. The game balance has been improving with each patch, and the kameo diversity is actually pretty great

so much mk1 discourse really truly gets boiled down to the fact that some people hate that it’s an assist game and will dislike it forever simply because of what it is. there’s a lot of valid complaints against mk1, but you are out of your mind if you think mk11 is better imo. by the end of mk1’s support when all the features are finally installed i really believe it’ll be one of the best in the franchise

Yeah hearing him say mk1 barely made it through year 1 was a crazy take to me, tons of updates, kameos, characters, and skins added in just one year. Not to mention the numbers I see the game do, it's been in the top 10 games sold on Playstation every month since release.

@davidmccollin9357 You're underestimating how fun and competitive that game is. Some of the most fun I've ever had in an MK game was playing that game online back in the day. Sure, it doesn't have tons of single-player content, but it was an arcade game. What do you expect?

They gotta do individual Rank for each character the way Tekken does... This game has been really fun and ez to learn a bunch of characters for me. I already have a lot of replayability in that I learn a character each season. Invasions is perfect for learning a character and leveling up mastery for a character and a kameo. Plus i really like the roster and design of a bunch of the characters so its been easy for me. But i get that im not in the majority. Its too bad, cuz im really enjoying this game.

The maining an assist thing is what I've been doing since about the 2nd week of the game. I realized everytime a new DLC dropped or I tried a new character I always paired them immediately with Sektor who is my favorite assist overall. That's when I figured out in this game you almost use the assist as the main and the main as the secondary consideration

The good thing and the problem of MK games, is that they radically change the game every release. They are very hardworking and not necessarily just trying to improve their last game. They literally not scared to re-innovate. MK9, MKX, MK11, MK1 are all different games that could have their own life outside the MK franchise. Just becuase the bear same MK name and come from same studio people then to threat them like the next iteration of same game. Meanwhile it is a radically different game each time.

For me, Liu kang;s best kameo would be....MOTARO! Liu kang + Motaro is Nasty he gets a little more mix n stays safe and even have some throw strike. .all the stuff Kang he had in mk11. Plus liu kang can combo off his back throw sooo well with Motaro

@@austinely8697 Yes, poking, strike/throw mixups, and resource management (with KBs and FB) are some of the key things that made MK11 great, along with neutral, movement, staggers, shimmies, punishing, reversal punishing, flawless blocking, etc. MKX on the other hand is a 'F the neutral' of a fighting game that on the core of it is: 1. 50/50; 2. High combo damage; 3. Oki setup, and rinse and repeat. I don't want to sound like a hater of MKX, I actually love it and it is one of the most fun fighting games ever. But when this topic was going on during the MK1 Stress Test, NinjaKilla (mind you before winning EVO 2023) brilliantly put it at Maximillian Dood's Twitch Chat that MK11 simply rewards the skill so much more than MKX.

Not evry characteer needs to have overhead/low mix. Not everyone likes to run up 50/50 people. Some like zoning, some like spacing/footies, some like 50/50's, some like set play/setups.

I feel like fighting games r in a very odd place. I feel like they need some type of multiplayer mode that’s more than 1 player vs another. All popular games r always more than one player vs another because of the ability play with friends on the same team. Call of duty halo gears of war Fortnite even the sports games like madden fifa 2k are multiplayer games. Minecraft as well GTA red dead redemption etc. they need to have a mode where you have some type of multilayer

Nah dude is wrong about Reptile. My Reptile Kano Team freaking wrecks dude. Kano is so good with Reptile, he allows reptile to play the way he truly wants to plah and the availability is amazing, he doesnt need damage, he has some of the highest meterless damage in the game, I build hella bar, break armor stay plus jailing b2 into knives and that jails f3 or b3 or stand 3. The Oki, chip and bar I build makes up for not adding 80 more damage on my combos. Invis is crazy with kano too. Imagine being hella plus and Invis

All the Kameos are, are just a universal variation system. Nothing more nothing less. It still sucks, it's not balanced because there are characters in the main roster that rely on Kameos to cover them while there are others who the Kameos just make better

@@AF0xyGrampa Of course it isn't homogenous. And this wasn't meant as an insult. I enjoy the game. The American-ness only refers to how new the series is (relatively). When you play Tekken or SF, you are getting years of character development with incremental changes to kits. They transform each game largely through universal system mechanics. MK reconstructs the game from the ground up with each build, which makes balance more reactive. Now it is likely the case that there is a better category to define this characteristic. A game like Nen Impact looks like a wild party fighter and it is Japanese, Guilty Gear was for many years a crazy game. So I understand your criticism.

Nearly 200GIGS later the game remains Empty and Soulless! Plays more like injustice than mk, hence all jumping & bouncing around! Not a fan of this Gender swapping Garbage!
