have you had a look at the pecron ones? will be interesting to see if it handles the peak load since that’s where most of the challenges manifest

Interesting, I could use one for work when I'm remote (Airfield) from any power supplies. I was actually looking at a Bluetti AC2A as a UPS for my IT stuff. On offer at the moment £199.00.

Since you've tested a few of these now, which would you say is best at dealing with large inrush currents? Would like one to use with an air compressor but the thing draws a ton of power when first cranking up.

Ecoflow and Bluettit handle large inrush best imo They just seem bullet proof. I've yet to try big loads and compressors on the Aferiy. So far it's been perfect

Strange idea for the super secure flaps but as long as it works and is competitively priced it is a good thing.

I would avoid anything that hasn't got a UK or EU brand behind it. You have to be really careful with Chinese electronics (made to their own standards rather than that of an European company) if you are going to use it in your house.

Yet Chinese are actually more advanced with more experience. I wouldn't judge too early given many UK brands ultimately use Chinese parts

Don’t think I’d keep this is my house anymore than one of those cheaply made electric scooters.

You do realise it's phones and smaller chargers that cause most issues battery wise

@@EVPuzzle . There are probably more than 20 million phone/tablet chargers in the U.K. According to the fire service many of the fires are caused by cheap chargers bought online. A small battery in a phone catching fire is bad enough, one of these large batteries catching fire is the equivalent to 100-200 mobile phones catching fire at the same time. All the chargers in my house are from well known companies like Apple, Samsung and Amazon’s own brand.

@@bordersw1239 apart from the battery chemistry in these is much safer , thermal runaway is at a hugely higher temp Show me a lifepo home battery fire that you're basing your concerns on

@@EVPuzzle . It’s not the just the fire, it’s the gases they give off if there is a problem. LFP is pretty new for home use, house was blown apart in Germany October last year, guy had bought 3 10kWh batteries from China.

@@bordersw1239 now you're talking DIY build battery home systems. Not quite the same , you're in a mission to discredit this tech whilst I see the positives . You do realise the alternative was generators using petrol stored near the house . Much more dangerous Surely the issue is don't abuse things and be aware of worst case
