Like it or not, NY law forbids cameras at courtroom trials. Unlike the justified complaints of so many that "he's being treated with kid gloves", Trump is at least in THIS respect, being treated exactly like *ANY OTHER DEFENDANT IN A NY COURT". Gee... don't you wish he was being treated "like any US Citizen" in all respects? I sure do. Apply the law equally, or there IS no law: the USA is supposed to be a "government of laws and not of men", which means when you're before the court, you are judged according to THE LAW, and not simply by what "men" feel in their guts about you... the defendant.

When I was doing art in school, someone said that I would good at being a court room sketch artist. I said who would want to do that? I don't want to have a hit put on me if I draw someone and they don't like it. And here we are like 30 years later, where that could actually be a reality, with this defendant. WOW. She is super talented and her sketches are great. Well done. Great respect to those who do this kind of work and are that good at it.

They say courtroom artists have photographic memory, I think that opinion is rather Sketchy.

Extremely few have photographic memory. What they (often?) do however is to practice drawing the individuals they know they will draw in court before the trial begins. From photographs. Also they have usually practiced a lot of figure drawing. That way they can concentrate on the drama and expressions. As an artist you also don’t usually want to reproduce a scenario exactly as it looks, but you want to “catch the play” to the best of your ability.
