This is such an amazing tutorial!!! I use affinity photo to edit my photos on a high level like levels, shadows, colours, etc. Your videos are helping me explore other functions of this software. I have a similar photo to yours with a boring grey gloomy sky. I cannot wait to try this!!! Thank you so much for making these videos. Your explanations are always so easy to understand. This wet reflection thing is super cool!!!

Great tutorial Olivio. I normally just tweak photos I've taken ie. contrast, clarity, shadows etc, so this took me out of my comfort zone and I feel great that I can actually now do this. Thanks so much for the tutorial video. Cheers, N.

Loved the Video but have just one concern. It sounds like you are saying S T R G for keyboard shortcut like STRG+0 to resize image back to full screen. It looks like you are running this on a PC so surely it should be Control key or Ctrl+0? Maybe I am just miss hearing you but I did find it a bit confusing at first to follow what you were doing when using that key for shortcuts.
@CarlSurry6 жыл бұрын
I have just done a bit of detective work and found that the German keyboard is STRG where the English one is CTRL. I am so glad you have recorded vocals in English but maybe best for future videos to point out at the start that when you say STRG, English/USA keyboard users have to press CTRL or Command for Mac users.
@OlivioSarikas6 жыл бұрын
That is actually a very good point! I have a german keyboard, so here it is STRG instead of CTRL. I will say "control" next time. Thank you :)

Thanks for not taking it as me having a dig at your video. As a fellow Affinity video maker, I don't want to have a go at my fellow tutorial makers
@OlivioSarikas6 жыл бұрын
no, that was really good advice. i didn't even think about that at all. Btw. if i may give you some feedback about your channel. I think it would help your channel if you created video covers that are a bit more visual. While they do their job, i think they could be designed better and more representative of your design skills.
@CarlSurry6 жыл бұрын
Believe it or not they are representative of my design skills ;-) Design is a skill very lacking in me. I will have a think about what you have said though.

Amazing! Olivio is a Master of his craft. I am no beginner, and I definitely would not recommend it for beginners or even those with little mastery, however I will be coming back to this again and again. Many thanks for sharing! Hi Olaf, when you look at 9:12 i explain how to pic a color for that layer. The color is already had was probably still from the version i did to prepare for this video :)

Olivio, I'm a real beginner in AP. I've found a lot of your videos very helpful, but this one, I'm afraid, completely baffles me. There's just too much in here that I simply don't understand. Maybe the tutorial is pitched at people with a greater basic knowledge than me!

It was because of your video that I've ordered Affinity Photo. I've been using Photoshop for years and I'm one of those people who's turned off by the subscription plans. This program offers everything I would need or use in Photoshop, so I've bought the software.

Hello, looking at the initial selection of the sky seems that the best way to uncut the trees (especially in the middle of the branchs...I think also to the situation of a big tree with the sky as a background for example) is to use the Selection Brush and then let Affinity do the refine. My question (for Olivio mainly) is: there is some other clever tecnique to do this ? (What I told before is a classic example) . I propose you, if you agree, to make a dedicated video on that.... I guess it would be very appreciate from many people . Thanks a lot....and keep going !

Watch the video step by step and experiment with the tools i show. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask me. I might even do a video about a certain tool to explain it better.
@alanshiell42444 жыл бұрын
Agree - sorry. You clearly know what you are doing but for an absolute beginner like me, I found the jumping around just too distracting. I couldn't pick up any principles that were being followed so it began to appear rather random. In the end I gave up. I'll come back and have another go, but 'quick and easy' this is not.
