I do agree to a certain extent, but I think Sparkuggz is mostly focused on "teaching" people who have access to very high lvls of gear and already have a good understanding of Warlocks. Where as our lovely guy Evrelia does a very good job of introducing the class and spec to people who may be newer to the class and does not yet have access to heroic gear from the entire ToT. Either way I love them both and they have helped immensely on my quest to making Warlock my main

I think a few sections are clarified a little better than previously also, plus stat priorities have changed a little bit. More explanation on multi-target and AoE also :)

That depends on the potential strength increase of each, and is not something I give a generic answer to.

Simcraft shows a DPS gain going for 13.7k if you can reach it, so for the reasons I explained in this guide, I suggest going for that instead of 9778.

for multi target, i'd suggest going for 6637 and aim for 9778 when you can. single target that is fine.

That's a rather complex question :). Affliction is immediately weaker than the other two specs on any fight involving AoE, so Lei Shen, Durumu hc, Twins hc, Tortos. Without UVLS I wouldn't play Demo on anything other than those. With UVLS, you can play it on everything except for Primordius/Horridon.

Hey Evrelia, great video as always! Just had a few questions though. I recently felt comfortable enough with my ilvl to drop Destro and pick up Aff/Demo, and was wondering if you had any input you as to which spec shines most on any given fight. Been having some success using affliction on multi target and demo for single, but since the rng gods hate me I'm running demo without the UVLS. Also any chance there are some more of your encounter specific guides in the works? TY for the awesome vids!

I did, it was my bad though. Due to an addon bug, it did not show that unstale affliction was cast on my target. (So figured SB SS did not put UA on the target) And i did not see you cast it, so I was surprised why you didn't use the DoT.

Hey Evrelia hope you can answer me question! Should I be using Haunt with 3 + Soul Shards even without trinket procs? Also, aside from the opener, should I be applying newly buffed dots manually no matter the length of my dots on the target currently? Like should I wait until I get the full Pandemic effect of reapplying new dots

hey evrelia, drjeckle from lightninghoof here. I'm I'm a 541 affliction lock and agree with your theories in most situations. However, I do have a question about multiple target (i.e heroic horridon) where there are a plethora of adds. To maximize my dps, I am having trouble with determining whether changing targets to apply dots with trink procs is more beneficial than maintaining haunt and malefic grasp on ones that already have these buffed dots. Just wondering your take on the situation. ty

Hey Evrelia, so I've been mainly playing destruction, though lately I've been looking towards learning one of the other two specs. However, for some reason, I keep getting sigils of power, leaving me with 9 Sigils of Wisdom and 17 Sigils of Power, and in the 9 rolls I've used on Lei Shen, he's given me everything except the trinket. What would I be better of running, Affliction without the meta gem, or Demonology without the Lei Shen trinket?

whats your gs and dps? im haging on 30k dps always lowest on meter in every group (if im lucky enough to make ppl accept that less dmg) my gs is btw 485. im doing the same rotation. so i might guess u really need a higher score to play well with that kind of warlock? thanks

Even with 485 Ilvl you should be able to pull at least 90k DPS, or you're not playing correctly. Get proper gear, enchants, and gems. Also, there's no reason you can't increase your ilvl to 505+ from LFR and valor capping alone.

Affliction pretty much sucks until you get the legendary meta gem and a higher end ilvl w/ rPPM trinkets. I didn't start seeing it become better until 525 ilvlish.
