Yea 80 degree summers are nice but why leave out the 9 other months that are cold, dark, and full of snow? The same reason that you left out that hot places on the summer time have 9 other months that are not as hot and quite nice; biased reporting/discussion

Another factor is you don't get a single temperature for the whole day. If it's 105 at 3:00 PM then it might be 80 at 6:00 AM. So if you're willing to get up early you get pretty optimal weather for a couple hours. But winter in the midwest might be 25 degrees at 3:00 PM and that's the warmest you'll get all day.

Outside of the northeast and CA, inventory numbers have ticked up steadily every month this year. There is a single family home for every 2.75 legal adult citizens in this country. Inventory is not "low".
