Nice job. Your base system seems very slow and long-winded. With Cromax Pro or similar the base is complete in one visit - a medium coat followed immediately by a control coat and it's ready for clear.

Your supposed to use a clean towel every time you wipe a panel before applying filler/primer or sealer. And one towel for applying pre cleaner or degreaser and one dry for wiping it off. Your not supposed to spray the cleaner directly on the panel

That's for real, a 100% decontaminated part makes all the difference and some people tend to let slide dirty or humid interiors, and that gun ow boy, it's way too cheap for it's performance

Hi Clear you are using 1.1 or 1.2? Plastic or aluminum body gun? Heard good things about those spray guns. Think I have to try it. You might want to see if manufacture will make a Low CFM cap option. With good atomization. Maybe no VOC restrictions. Been using one for single stage and another low CFM cap set up for small areas. Less overspray and use of material. Think transfer rate is high. It is easier for DIY or if using smaller compressor. Good video. Thank you

I like the microfiber towels to tack and I use your technique of using your hand to double check and feel cuz I can get that feel like i get with a regular tack rag..So thanks for that tip. I bought the walcom slim combat 1.3 I haven't got a chance to use it yet. I'm a weekend warrior. Got to wait for warmer weather to try new gun. I only shoot motorcycle re spray. Is the 1.1 shoot flatter than the 1.3

Yes the 1.1 would be finer but you can also choke the fluid tip on the 1.3 and male it a 1.1

So big thanks to you, i tried your "style" and it turned out great. my last clear coats have been a bit whacky (but no pressure, i have time to learn), i had to polish them to not feel rough. i think i feared adding too much paint and make the paint "run" (like drops idk.the english word) so i added too less... i hope i will be as good as you sometimes and will watch your videos just for fun except to learn.

Hi Gabe, love your video's but I'm a bit confused, I'm a DIY newbie to spraying and always thought that increasing your distance from the panel will give you more orange peel, I doing ok with primer/sealer and base but struggling to get a good finish on my clear. All I do is single panels with my Devilbiss SRI Pro Lite mini gun 1.2 tip at 33psi but I'm never happy with the finish, I've tried 4 to 8 inches from the panel but when further away the peel gets worse, if I get close the finish is a bit better but then I get runs, I'm pulling my hair out trying to improve my finish, any advice you can give would be appreciated, John UK.

You need to adjust accordingly. If you go away from the panel then you need to slow down to get a smoother finish

Hey buddy which waterborne cleaner do you use on your tack cloth We use the SX394 I know it’s pretty strong on the base because I keep it in a spray bottle as a first rinse of my guns and it dissolves the base coat quick

Nope. Different guns. It's like saying a hybrid bike that is a good bike for road mountain and downhill is a good a a specific downhill bike or mountain bike. The carbonios are specific and perform incredible. I hope I make sense hahahaha
