I already have vintage chronos with similar looks but I'd go for the Monard just because in my humble opinion Roman numerals aren't well suited to this type of watch.

I own both of them, and they are excellent travel watches - look beautiful, have reliable movement, and in case something bad happens to them It won't be a terrible loss, I love vintage chronographs and adore their movements, but now I'm just too paranoid to take them to some places, thanks to FM and Monchard I can have similar look without risking a super expensive vintage watch theft/damage.

Great video! Got to say, both are great pieces! They both have strong and ”weak” points IMO. For the price I’d say they are both great options! The Monchard have more it’s own design, not a homage to any specific watch, where the Furlan has some details I like more, the pushers and crystal for example. Please do more of these afforable vids! 🎉

Very nice choice, personally I can't rave enough about Yema watches if you don't want to spend fortunes, at this category of pricing they sell the weirdo rallygraph mecha-quartz, it's often an overlooked brand but they're really good under 5k...

My watches cost me less than 5€ , I bought a NATO for them, so now they are more expensive... Don't have money for your kind of watches..

My favourite in this range is Christopher Ward. They are probably more commercial than Marko likes but they do some beautiful watches and a number of limited runs, as well as commemorative and tribute pieces as well. Their earlier watches probably use fairly common Quartz and Auto movements, but are some of their best work. I have 5 CW's; 2 that were made in high numbers. 1 that was part of a limited Wimbledon Tennis Club series from several years ago. 1 that is one of 1250 and is one of their C9 Jumping Hour pieces using the JJ001 complication, (and was my first 'proper' watch. If you don't count my, original from back in the day, Casio F91W 😜) Finally my current pride and joy the 1 of 40 C9 GT40 which was part of a heritage Motorsport series CW did playing tribute to 4 or 5 very prestigious racecars. I think each had a piece from a part of the actual car. My GT40 for example has a small piece from one of the wheel locking nuts in the back........ Would love to see Christopher Ward featured on the channel and a look back at some of the older limited runs they used to do as well as a look at some of the modern classics they are making now.

Nice looking watches indeed. Reusing genius vintage design obviously pays of. My only complain is the price that actually competes with swiss Tissot automatic chronograph. For $219 you can indulge yourself with swiss made quartz cronograph by Glycine. It is important to have this context when promoting new pieces
