Your craft room reminded me of mine. All out of whack. Work begins this weekend on cleaning bd painting etc. I loved the bow holder idea. One problem....I have as much of not more ribbon than hobby lobby. No joke. That’s the biggest part of my crafts. You have a beautiful craft room. Keep it up so you won’t stress. That’s my problem. Don’t know if this helps, I just watched your craft room org episode... get a 5.5”w rain gutter (about $7 for 10’). Paint any color you like...cut it to be 1” on each end wider than your craft room window. Buy 2 gutter hangers for each row. Place ribbon in like library books... You’ll get lots of ribbon holder space with easy access ... for smaller ribbon, Cut styrofoam or pool noodle to it raise up. I placed 3 rows at the top of my window like a valance.

The dream box is so impractical. When it's closed, it's just a giant box in the room; you need to leave the sides free so it can open; it just seems like a gimmick, and yours is so much better. Absolutely love it. My dog too has her own spot in the craft room and snores most of the day.

I see now why you were having issues trying to make use of a SINGLE LAMP ... At dusk it got plenty DARK in that room!!! I, too, had an issue having scant access to plug-ins that became hidden behind bookcases. With help, I moved one out so I could plug in an extension cord that I brought up & over the bookcase. Then I attached a shelf along the top of them, bought LED strip lighting from HomeDepot, attached that to the shelf, and FINALLY could enjoy reading in that space!

Hi Taleea! Yes, the white drawers are Alex 9 drawers from Ikea. And then to store my vinyl I use a vinyl role holder that you can pick up from really any craft store. I got mine from joanns. Give me your input, Folks... I’m thinking that there’s not much in the way of card crafting supplies that COULDN’T fit “comfortably” in the spaces of a dvd storage cabinet. Inks, Re-Inkers, Stamps, Dies, even Paper, if cut to card-size, should work there. Right? I know that Cricuts, BigShots, paper cutters ... related machines, in other words, would require deeper shelving, but I’m hoping for reassurance that, with few exceptions, that I could get by with these kinds of cabinets, as I have only my kitchen to craft in, and am trying to shoehorn storage under the breakfast bar.
@PoppyFlux3 жыл бұрын
I've just had an idea after seeing how crafters are hanging up their cricut mats. I still have most of my WRMK punch boards in their packaging and stuffed in a box where I forget about them. I don't have counter or shelf space to display them but I am going to hang them (in their packaging) on my wall. I have one that doesn't have packaging so I'll put it in a strong ziplock bag and punch a hole under the zip, so I can hang that one too. Peg boards would work great for this too. Another option is wall hangers for saucepan lids.
@PoppyFlux3 жыл бұрын
I try to keep supplies in themes, either in the same box, or in the same area: so my glues and tapes are together. Stationery and tools. Markers, pencils, watercolour paints, brushes, and speciality papers. I also keep my ink pads, reinkers, blending tools and stamps together. And my mediums; texture paste, varnish, gesso, acrylic paints, glitter, shimmer sprays, micas, powder pigments etc are together. I have my embellishments sorted by colour (and my beads), so it's easy to grab a box for a project. I'm also currently reorganising my ephemera, dyed papers, and other junk journal stuff, so that's a work in progress as my previous system didn't work. This is what works for me, and helps me make the most efficient use of limited space. My craft room is also my bedroom, which has a computer desk that's my craft table too. Ikea's Tjena storage boxes have been a godsend because they're sturdy and I can stack them up (and they fit in wardrobes too). It's not pretty because it's cluttered, but I prefer the look of labelled black and white boxes to clear plastic bins.
