When Dooney and Bourke were a new leather company all of their all bags were not lined with any material. They were Beautiful. I had many. All were made in Connecticut.

Autumn, if you truly want an Evelyn handbag from Hermes, you can get one for just over $3000. And you spent $3000 on the Louis Vuitton Neverfull bag. Monday through Friday on the Hermes handbags website at approximately 10:45 am EST Hermes puts up bags for sale. You gotta decide quickly because they go fast. The Birkin, Kelly and Constance are never included. Not sure you knew about this and good luck if you try for a bag. I have been looking for the Kelly On The Go and it has been on the site just not in the color i would like so I continue to check the site. Hope this helps.

I’ve looked at these bags for quite some time, but I just don’t care for the woven strap. If it were removable, I would have definitely considered the crossbody. It is beautiful.

I love Portland Leather Co. Their bags are so soft with beautiful leather and suede interiors. Very affordable too! I have 3 so far, but wouldn’t mind owning more😊

I have been looking at the preloved market for an Evelyne pm, but wanted a light color and was debating that money for a bag that might get color transfer. Problem solved! Hey, lady! Thanks for the shout out! These bags are stunning and look beautiful on you. It's sad that your favorite silhouette has your least favorite leather.😔 The leather on that Bucket is GORGEOUS!! Raw interior really helps to create a more lux look and feel in bags. I REALLY wish that PD had left more of the interiors raw. It was so sweet of your friend to purchase the red Crossbody for you! To clarify, I meant that some of the Henry's leather and styles LOOK like some of Hermès' leather and styles. I wouldn't be able to compare feel/texture because I've stayed far away from Hermès (on purpose) , so haven't FELT their leather.😄 Most of my bags and a couple of yours look like Togo leather (small pebbling, very matte). I'm loving your taupe Foldover! I wonder if I should take it off of your hands🤔😄... TFS! This was incredibly enjoyable.

Autumn, have you ever seen Dooney & Bourke "Florentine Toscana bags"? They have the very same paladium hardware, The webing strap, as well as the cream glove leather interior also made in Italy. They were produced a few years ago and then discontinued. They are so beautiful in smooth florentine leather rather than the pebbled. Thought you may like to see them also the Italian Alto bags.

Right! The palladium hardware, webbed strap and cream interior reminded me of the Toscana collection as soon as I saw these Henry's bags. The Henry's cream interior isn't as soft as the Toscana interior, though. Both collections were spectacular!

I have a couple of now vintage Dooney & Bourke that I purchased 25-30 years ago. I love old school D&B with all weather leather, which is a shrunken leather that gives it structure and water resistance. But they are heavy and stiff bags. I can see why they started doing coated canvas. though It turned me off from the brand especially when they started printing colored logos on their bags (like LV Murakami). After seeing your post and watching Coach Craze’s video I had a look for myself. The crossbody bags did give Evelyne vibes but structured. I ended up getting a mini crossbody in brown. The leather reminds me of Dooney & Bourke’s all weather leather which I’m not mad about. The inside is suede in a caramel color. Made in the US. Unlike the larger crossbody bags, this one had the loops. The mini is really small, it probably fits as much as an LV Félicie Pochette. I had thought about trying to buy a mini or PM Evelyne either through Hermès or preloved. However, I think I’m going to take a break from buying bags until I go through a major declutter. Not bags. I don’t have a lot of bags anymore. Everything else. I don’t carry my old Dooney bags much. I have a really large one that is probably equivalent to a Speedy 30 in size and more than twice as heavy. And I have a tiny crossbody duck bag, which they have back on their website but fabric lined instead of suede. The bag barely fits anything. I can’t let either of them go.

Dooney and Bourke was my very first designer bag I ever owned. I have lots of them since, but it took me a long time to take it out and wear it because silly 21 year old me thought it was too nice to wear. I wear it now along with all my other ones including other designer brands. I love ❤️ my handbags! ❤

I’m a Dooney lover from years passed however only able to finally afford one. I believe that they didn’t get much traction was because they were such a departure from the Original Dooney and Burke style bags and it was for the Dooney lovers to transition. It’s only been since social media craze that the Dooney has had a resurgence and thus these bags have been linked. Henry was just ahead of his time. They are no longer on sale and since I’m from the DUCK 🦆 generation those were the ones I was drawn too. Now I’m branching out I do regret not getting one. I have not heard of this brand. It sounds very interesting. Hopefully after seeing your video they will upgrade their website. I am very interested to try them at some time. Love these bags but the remaining colors on ones that caught my eye did not appeal to me - white, red, teal, turquoise. There are of course black but don't need another black bag (did an inventory this week, oh my.) I also didn't like the canvas strap on so many of them. Appreciate the info, though. Always up for some leather goods eye candy. BTW, what about D&B didn't appeal to you? I bought them in the early 2000's but they have a definite "country house equestrian set" vibe that I tired of, especially the designs with contrasting tan trim. Many of them, especially the Florentine satchels, are brutally heavy, and that Florentine leather is easy to scratch and spot, like Vachetta.

That small taupe bag looks a lot like a Fendi By the way mini, or the small (the Boston bag not the one with tote handles) I have one. You can get them for a good price- I bought mine in excellent condition, for the equivalent of 650 $. Really like that white messenger! And the ”evelyns”! That red looks smashing on you!

I’ve heard of a brand called “Henry High Class” by an ex-Hermes employee and were selling bags that looked like Birkins and Kelly’s a long time ago. For some reason, it seems like it was only known in Canada and Japan. I can’t find much on it, but according to a Japanese leather KZbinr, you can find information if you search in Italian

If you're a small bag girl the Alma BB is an excellent choice. It works well as a crossbody bag, IMHO the Speedy is a bit bulky to wear crossbody. If you carry a bag in hand the Speedy is a classic. Happy shopping!

A few comments I hope every reads in full. Those bags are absolutely gorgeous! I love the red crossbody. I hope you keep it, even though you don't like red on you. Next, it doesn't' surprise me that the workmanship from Italy is a little disappointing. I found out on KZbin that Chanel hires Chinese workers to make some of their bags in Italy. So, while it's accurate to say that an item was made in Italy, it doesn't necessarily mean by fine leather Italian craftsmen. Which is vexing because of their exorbitant prices! I have an Hermes Bearn wallet. I am not as thrilled with it as I thought I would be. Finally, I've come to the conclusion that things often look better in pictures than in real life. You don't know how they feel. I read that Jackie Onassis had Jack Rogers sandals, which are beautiful. But guess what? They're supposedly beastly uncomfortable until you break them in. I've had SIX foot surgeries. I refuse to wear shoes that are uncomfortable because I've suffered enough with my feet.

I have the crossbody bag in the gray color and large size. I have had it for about 2 years now and haven’t worn it much. I was extremely disappointed with the lining and other details not matching the description/pictures. The leather and lining feel like cardboard and so cheap. I waited too long to return it so now I’m stuck with a bag that I’m not wild about and cost a pretty penny for what I got. It’s the worst “Dooney” that I’ve ever purchased. These bags could be so awesome but totally miss the mark. Just my opinion for anyone looking to buy one of these bags.
