Long before I bought my first “luxury” bag I bought my first Coach bag. I remember being so impressed with the quality. I went to my mom’s and showed her the beautiful stitching and the quality of the fabric. I have kept that bag as it is very sentimental to me and still is in amazing condition. Of course I went on to buy many more over the years.

My first Coach Bag was bought by me in the 1960s. In 1965, when I was 15, I used every penny of my babysitting money, allowance, lunch money for that bag. Like you, I still have it. The NYC bags last a long time.

Ladies I saved my money and bought my first coach bag and I just know I was floating every time I carried my bag purchased with my own monies and felt independent and confident my station bag is still in great condition. Life did not lead me be able to have handbags and I am ok with that I love my coach bag and can appreciate the luxury bags

Boy Autumn...did my ears ever perk up when you said Coach is a luxury bag !! I can never afford a Louis Vitton, Chanel or Fendi, etc. But I can afford Coach. I LOVE my Coach bags and wear them proudly. I always feel like a lot of these luxury channels aren't talking to me. Makes me feel like a imposter watching them. Except for you Autumn !! You make me feel like I belong. I have absolutely loved handbags since I was alittle girl. Whenever you get a new handbag Autumn, I never feel jealous. Coach is my top contemporary brand. I’ve loved the company ever since the 90’s when I was in high school. My first bag was a leather mini daypack backpack that I still own to this day! It looks just as good as when I got it, maybe even better because the leather has a rich, dark patina. The leather is delicious!

I love the vintage coach items. My first Coach bag was the hippie flap. It’s my prized possession. I keep it in pristine condition. I worked at Coach in my early 20’s for a few months and I purchased that and a mini Hampton tote. I still have those to this day. Recently I started searching for vintage and I love the Janice, legacy, Patrica and fletcher. My running errands is the companion bag. These are my favorite though I still have others that I wouldn’t consider luxury now, think early 2000. I just purchased a tabby but missed out on the new quilted ones. I love my Coach as that’s what knew as luxury when I was growing up. Nothing beats a vintage full leather bag. I do agree some of the inside linnets makes me want to pull my hair out.

I like this video as Coach is my favorite for styles and prices, and many are very luxurious ! I agree that almost all of the 1941 line is luxury. The rogues, anything tea rose ( which isn't everyone's taste). I also think the quilted tabbys and quilted madisons are very luxurious. I have 1 quilted tabby in black/silver 26 and have chalk coming. I have 8 quilted madisons. Love everything about them.

I have a vintage Coach Patricia’s Legacy Saddle bag and it is my all time FAVORITE! I found it in pristine condition and the leather is just beautiful. I carry my Coach more than I carry my Gucci bags 🤷🏾‍♀️

I agree, there are many bags made by Coach that are luxury quality. The leather in the Soft Tabby is gorgeous. It’s the closest leather to vintage Coach that I have felt. And yes, be prepared to pay up for the vintage bags. Some of the rare styles sell for much more than bags from luxury houses if the same era.

The American Airlines Stewardess Bag was a bit smaller than the marketed bags. I love the ones used by the flight attendants. Difficult to find them in pristine condition now.

I totally agree with you on this sentiment, majority of the luxury communities only focus on the Big 3 , Chanel, Hermes and Louis Vuitton, my goodness people; there are far more brands that make just as good of bags and sometimes better than the 3 houses.

The way they are made and the quality of the leather, yes Coach is luxury! My sister has a few high end bags and watches and she has very good taste, when I got my Coach Cassie years ago, she thought it was high end and way better than some of the brands.😊

I believe the redesign of the Tabby 26 is also luxury now as well. The extra front pocket with the 1941 stamp and using good leather on it knocked it up there to luxury now. I see the tabby 26 as one of their Rogue satchels but it is its own line of genuine pebble leather & the release of the genuine glovetanned leather just made this bag even more unique in my eyes. I believe the tabby 26 is way better than it was before.

I've heard a few KZbinrs call out Coach Bandits as also being at the level of luxury brands. I have a Bandit myself and it's impeccable. But I don't own any luxury bags so I can't compare. Great video, and I agree that Coach makes some fantastic high quality pieces!

I agree. Thank you. I have a number of quilted Madison’s and quilted Tabby’s and the Nappa leather is incredible. Same as Rogue top handle, Lana 23, messenger 19, and so on. Look at the stitching and touch the leather…..they are so beautiful. I agree because I have owned Coach and more expensive bags and the super expensive ones are not always better than the nicest Coach ones.

I bought a Coach bag in the early 2000's. It has beautiful thick leather almost like a baseball glove it's a very durable and a style I really love. I paid around $300 for it at the time. To this day that is the most I've paid for a purse. I went to the Chanel shop in Seattle a few years ago and looked at a purse there, I didn't think the leather quality was as good as my Coach bag. Just my opinion. 😊

Hi Autumn, I enjoy watching your channel. I have the whole spectrum of brands from contemporary to Herme’s. Granted I own more contemporary bags because of my budget but being someone who owns Chanel and Herme’s, I think coach is luxury and I have several coach bags that I enjoy so much and think are well made with quality materials. I also have a purse from Strathberry and the quality and craftsmanship is amazing. I have a blue pochete metis in empreinte leather and the glazing is bad I had to exchange it 3 times, the glazing on coach and kate spade bags are far better😊

I think Coach went off the rails in the mid 2000’s with their marketing. The logo style bags were everywhere and outlets made them too common. They lost their “exclusivity” and I no longer wanted to pay 400-500 for the legacy styles back then around 2010. I had a closet full of beautiful coach bags. They had lost their appeal. I think Coach is back!!! I like their new bags!

Autumn: Great Video. I have a few beautiful LVs but I am a Coachy! I have three vintage bags from the 90s that I've held on to and many current styles. I have found the quality and style of their bags amazing, not to mention the exceptional customer service. Did you see the beautiful dragon Rogue for Lunar New Year? It was stunning and sold out very quickly. I think the most luxurious coach line is the Idol. Rich beautiful leather, perfectly crafted. I have the burnished amber leather but I would also love the python.

Coach is a beautiful brand. I'm glad they are going back to their heritage of fine leathers. I hated every coach bag that came out a while back with the C monograms in that dull brown. Plus, where I live, that is part of the standard 'Karen' uniform. Bleh! Also, Dooney & Burke is severely underrated by the 'luxury community'. These are crafted from FINE leathers! Slam dunk!

I bought some Cassies and a tabby from Coach. I was even asking Portland LV why all three of the Speedys I had to choose from had sewing errors (puckering and pulling) unlike my Coach. Their answer….Because Coach is made with machines and LV is made by individual artisans! Good grief. Still love LV for their tough and light weight canvas, but Coach has nice leather bags.

LV always gives that excuse but the "artisans" making their speedy bags are doing so on sewing machines and being made by "artisans" SHOULD mean the bags will be even more perfect. It's such a lame excuse for poor quality.

I do like Coach, although not how narrow their bags are. I am repetitive here :) Beat bag is great, it is one of their best styles, the chains, the leather strap, the decorations, they outdid themselves. Rogue? Medium size! Yes! Yes! Yes! Not the large one (weight issues, just way too heavy). Rogue is one of the absolute best bags Coach made. Most of my bags are 1941 line. I had one tote, and I got rid of it, it reminded me Neverfull, eventually I got tired of it. I am not an animal shaped bag fan. I do love their heart bags, they are very cute (and impractical to me). The Chanel looking bag is very cure, no questions. The tabby line is complicate to me. I liked the original bag, but I did not get it in time, and it is very outdated now. I have no opinion about little backpack since it is not my style. Great topic.

I feel like Coach used to be better several years ago. I have a bag from 2010 or so and it still looks amazing with no after market care. More recent purchases with glove tanned leather the edges started peeling pretty bad. I don’t know if this is when they became under parent company tapestry. I think their different lines are confusing and dilutes the brand. That’s why it has been slipping for me.
