There's a reason they call this thing the 'vengeance'.

Just looked at this this past weekend and was very impressed. For 40k less then the grand but yet very close in the layout ( minus the triple axle ) you get a lot of bang for your buck!!!

This is a neat trailer. Its almost an exact copy of Jayco 355W Sizmic Wave that i own. The only difference is the bathroom layout and the bed orientation. The side slide of the bed makes it impossible to walk around it when the slide is closed. The Jayco has the bed front to back orientation. Good video.

During the aftermath of Hurricane Laura we all slept in my nieces little apt. She did not have a dining room so she got a bunch of TV trays and we used those. They would go great in this unit, 4 people on the sofa all with a TV tray. No need to eat in the garage. 😀

How does loading a toy so far over the axles affect the king pin weight?

We just looked at this a couple days ago and fell in love with it. It has 150 gallon fresh water capacity. Super spacious for our family of six. My one big concern though is the fact they went with double axle instead of triple axle. Doesn’t make sense to put two 7k lb axles when the gvwr is over 17k lbs.
@dragonbutt4 жыл бұрын
I mean, that axle costs about a grand. But what does your safety when towing matter when its cheap?
@JEvans5754 жыл бұрын
Forest river trailers are notorious for this I think they need to go back over these trailers and redo the sticker weight ratings or put the right rated axles
@mike93lx4 жыл бұрын
The gvwr exceeds the axles because of how much weight goes on the king pin. There is no need to have axles that exceed the overall gvwr, although it can't hurt
@1coolvideo4 жыл бұрын
Jacob Evans all companies do it. When hooked to a truck enough weight is transferred that axles are not overweight
@mikejohnston48584 жыл бұрын
8000 lb axles should be standard for this trailer in my opinion. My Genesis is 15 K gross weight with 7 k axles. I would look at Genesis if your in the market. I am a carpenter and metal fabricator and I looked at every brand before purchasing. I felt Genesis had the highest build quality of all.

I would like to see a hauler area smaller, allowing the user to make that space into what ever you want: Hobby area, spare bedroom, office, and add a second bathroom in that space as well. Reducing the space in the hauler area would allow for a more 5th wheel type living and kitchen. I believe that would sell better.
@rerod6504 жыл бұрын
One area that I think a lot of toy haulers fail in is quality tie downs in the garage. Please make it a point to point that out.
@mattsmith33054 жыл бұрын
Very good video review. Overall I'm impressed with this RV. I'm a big fan of the 2nd entrance into the bathroom. I would rather see a traditional bathroom sink due to the lack of counter top space with that sink. I would have been nice to see bar stools for the island as well, since there is no dinette. Also I question the use of the twin 7K axles versus the 7K triple axle setup.

That blackened stainless sink and faucet in the kitchen is very on trend. I wish mfgrs would use single handle shower thermostats so you can set it and forget it, rather than having to adjust the temp every time you shower.

I’m really looking forward to full timing in the next few yrs......Personally I would not needing an oven as I don’t usually use it at my house maybe once a year at Thanksgiving, and definitely not needing a washer and dryer that’s what laundromat at four for me and would that be a thing that can be accomplished if somebody can’t answer that question for me not needing an oven and really not even a washer and dryer.....And as I keep multiple gym memberships not really needing a excessive shower either so hopefully find a decent unit they can have more living the comforts of less in the way of stove, washer dryer and shower facilities

Only thing I don’t like about it is when you have the back door open, you can’t keep it open and set up like the grand design. However it’s a lot more budge friendly. How does the structure compare to the grand design?

Great video JD except for the thing I’ve asked for from the first toyhauler I ever saw you go through and that is the dimensions of the garage area ( height and width) because not everyone can fit their SXS inside of a standard type garage. Plus I know there are companies out there that build setups like the one that the guy built and showed on here the other day which to me is nice if the rear deck area was solid flooring and had a retractable roof and sides.
