This is probably one of the best table builds I've seen,the cleats are a gamechanger.

Thanks! They do make moving stuff around really convenient and it’s nice to have all the surface area available on the tabletop.

Nice video. You know I just completed a project where I was constantly moving and grabbing tools and walking back to my bench. I was toying with some kind of caddy until I saw your solution. A caddy with a French cleat is perfect. Thx for the idea, 👍 and subscribed.

@@wyomingwright i like the stall mat idea. I have seen the plastic cutting board material used before, but it was expensive. I like this idea

It works pretty good, especially for cutting. It does have a bit of shock absorption so it’s good to have an anvil for setting rivets. I use my press for that and punching holes

How have you liked the larger stall mats? I’ve found that as sturdy as the table is, there still a lot of bounce in the rubber. For me, it’s perfect for cutting but punching holes or slots not so much. Let me know what you think

How are these mats holding up? Are you cutting leather in them? Thanks I’m looking forward to hearing from you!

Doesn't stall mat make blades dull?
@wyomingwright
@wyomingwright 4 ай бұрын
It’s not bad if you don’t try to push your blade deep into the mat. I haven’t found a material that doesn’t dull the blades at least a little. You just have to keep them stropped. I like the mats because of how well they endure the cutting. You can sharpen the blades but you can’t fix the mats
