Built exactly this machine except I used a 3400G I had lying around and 16 gigs of RAM. I had trouble with the ethernet NVME card ... so I junked it, got a small USB 4 port HUB and stuck it on the outside with gorilla double sided tape, and added a good USB Wireless Ethernet stick. Works great.

I use this with a 5600g as HTPC. 2200g also works fine without bios downgrade. Batocera runs great. Buy the noctua cooler, absolutely worth it! German computer magazine c't from heise just released an updated "ideal build proposal" going even higher with the 5700g. Someone experience with the deskmeet?!

I have the deskmeet with 5700x3d + low profile 4060, as well as noctua l9. I did also add 2 40mm noctua fan to help exhaust. I know 4060 is not the best option, but it is the most accessible and powerful low profile card. The cpu usually idles at around 50C; 70-75C when gaming. I think main reason is the psu fan is not spinning fast enough to bring in the cold air to the cpu cooler.

@@hongwu1691 Sounds like a great little machine👍👏 Surely you are right about the psu fan. Often the weakpoint. Literally the only thing i didnt try to mod in my life are psus....

@@sheldonkupa9120 I did swap the psu fan to a cheap random fan I got laying around(I think the brand is called thermalright?). The overall cpu temp did drop about 5C across the board. If u use a noctua fan it might be better, but I can’t be bothered to spend an extra 30$ on a single fan. Honestly it’s pretty easy to change the psu fan. Just gotta drain the remaining electricity in the psu, and unplug the original fan.

Do you think the amd stock cooler will be able to keep it cool if i overclock a 5700g? Also does the operation system come with the motherboard or will i have to download it from a flash drive

If you're over clocking then you will want to upgrade the cooler. Mobo doesn't come with os
