Brexit was not about getting rid of Europeans. It was about getting rid of oppressive EU laws.We now have got stuck with third world immigration and still have oppressive laws. I wish my Italy would leave the EU.

I am really chill about it because my country didn't commit economic suicide and leave EU

O I wouldn’t buy. But I understand their reasoning. I think they should look at the buyer. They should be individuals vice companies.

While EU citizens are not affected by the tax, non-EU citizens only need to relocate to Spain prior to purchasing a property. You could rent a couple of years, just to feel if Spain is the right country for you. Avoiding a big financial commitment upfront is a rather savvy idea. Afterwards you can buy as a resident and pay no extra tax or leave the country if you don't like your life over there. But so far the 100% tax plan for non-EU buyers is only an idea hard to realize. In Spain the regions are responsible to decide on the level of the property transfer tax.

Hello everyone, what are your thoughts on Spain's proposed 100% tax initiative for foreign buyers? 🤔 If this law gets implemented, do you think it would affect your decision to buy property in Spain, or would you consider looking elsewhere like Portugal or Italy? Let me know in the comments - I’d love to hear your take on this potential change!

I think that it makes it impossible to consider. Especially since it does not exempt property that is available in areas that are not in a housing crisis and are not under pressure from over-tourism.

Indeed. If this tax proposal becomes law, it would be a game changer for me too- and not in a good way. As always, thank you for keeping us informed.

'Offers on-street parking' 😂😂🙄. You mean, it doesn't actually have parking, but you can park on the street. Accuracy is key.

Well, that's better than some places. If you were in Sydney, Australia, you would not have that option 😂

As a Spaniards I think that this present socialist government has got this bill wrong ,taxing people more for not being in the EU it will back fire, what they should be doing is building affordable houses for the population rather than blaiming the holiday makers for their incompetence.

I would never buy in a country with such possible high taxes. I want to be welcomed in a country.
