@@cheriemonami If the encyclopedia was a set of Britannica volumes, I would never part with it. An Americana just doesn't appeal to my Anglophile / Commonwealth passions. Alas. On the other hand, Time-Life books never go out of interest or style, if if some of the information is upgraded through new discoveries. Plus, their photos were always excellent!

I think I would enjoy this and being in that spot with the water, even though I can't really see. I would love the sounds. I'm not sure what the swimming situation would be like there. I like to be in, the water, listening to everything around as far as I can, clearing my mind and just floating. A bit like Miguel I guess, Heheheheheheh! I'd probably need a good wetsuit. It's a long time since I've been to Connecticut. As a sighted kid I read my Grandpa's encyclopedia set as well, only his were from the forties. Love that you finished the painting. ❤️

Beautiful home and location. My favorite was when she said she finished a painting her grandfather started. What an amazing legacy gift to leave for generation after generation. She must of strongly felt her grandfather’s spirit the entire time she was painting. A beautiful story I never heard before.

My mom's friend Avis, us girls called her grandma, had a painting that her son hadn't finished when he died. Every year on his birthday she would add to it. Sometimes just a seagull.

So many books!! I love the idea of tiny homes right up until the moment when I see people's libraries (ie/ 7 books stashed in a tiny cupboard somewhere) at which point I no longer connect with the tiny home. This couple has found an amazing workaround for that! Also, I love the 1973 Encyclopedias! Those are keepers!

Amazing view! Love the first floor bedroom, dishwasher and a real sofa! I would love this layout with a 10’ wide floor plan.. wow, just can’t get over the amazing parking spot! I do feel badly that the big dog doesn’t have a cushy bed of his own on the floor next to the couch...or maybe they just put it away for the hous3 tour?

John and Amy - I live in Massachusetts. I have always loved tiny living but I read several articles that indicated it was not a great way of living in New England with the cold and snow. Problems with ventilation and mold. Have you experienced this?

I feel like tiny homes were started bc it was a no debt no payment option for people trying to save money and now it turned into a "we have 130k and want a fashion tiny home". Dont get me wrong these are all so cool but if i have 90k to build and buy then have to rent a spot somewhere i would rather get a house on land and save up for that. but that's just me. I liked this idea in college but now it seems like it's not that much more cheaper than to buy a home.

Love the personal touches of adding in the couples' own photos of the swans and Miguel! That really personalizes it and makes us connect with them. Did they mention if the kayak rental next to their house is very loud and populous, or is that just kayak storage? Would be interested in hearing the ins and outs of renting a spot at a marina. We used to rent a condo on a marina when our kids were young and absolutely loved it! We befriended some yacht owners and enjoyed boating experiences on the water that others only dream of, all when we were a young family with no money, LOL! You've given us another great video, thank you!

I live right outside of New Haven I would love to rent a house like this. I have been looking at tiny homes for 2 years I don't think I could buy one but wouldn't it be great if someone opened a tiny house village that people retired could rent one. I would be one of the first in line.

The house is adorable, but you're living in a friggin parking lot! View withstanding, that does not seem like much of a deal, but then I don't know the housing situation in New Haven. It is, after all, Connecticut. I guess you take what you can get on one side of the house and not worry about the other three.
