Honestly, the amount of food they got was worth it. Nothing was overly expensive and most dishes were 10 dollars. Most people would get full/satisfied off 2 of those dishes so 20 dollars a meal is quite affordable for going out for sushi. I get like 13 dollars for some shitty rolls here and these look far better quality.

Poor guys, as soon as you chewed the first Wagyu pieces i could see the shock of disappointment ... there is NOTHING worse than paying premium for Wagyu outside of Japan and getting mentally and emotionally ready for pure heaven only to be kicked back into the reality of 'Wagyu' abroad ... I just came back from almost a full year of Japan and have simply decided to not even try, some food items that give you that kind of godly experience are only available in food-heaven for a reason ... Giving you all the love you need to get over this :) and just remember, Japan will be waiting for you ;)

The metal is a conductor and will heat exchange your temperature from your hands and will make the sashimi more room temperature. Wood on the other hand does not conduct, so it will actually keep the sashimi unaffected other than naturally warming up to room temperature.

I don't care how nice a Japanese restaurant is, the miso soup should come with one of the items you ordered. Seriously, who charges for miso soup?

Hey Chonny, big fan of your videos. Have you ever tried Minashima ? I left Melbourne about a year ago, but I still dream about the food I had at Minamishima from time to time. Minamishima was hands down the best omakase experience I had in Melbourne.

Besides that, there is a really good and affordable udon joint at Bourke Street. It's known as Udon Izakaya Maedaya, and you two should give it a try.
