Are you ready to discover the hidden gems of Afghanistan? Join me on an inspiring 5 week journey through this complex country, as I uncover the beauty, culture and resilience of the Afghan people.
From the bustling streets of Kabul to the tranquil villages nestled in the mountains, this video takes you on a journey through Afghanistan's diverse landscapes and rich history.
You'll get a glimpse into the daily lives of the Afghan people, as we visit local markets, explore ancient ruins, and meet with artisans and craftspeople who are keeping traditional Afghan culture alive.
One of the highlights of my journey was a visit to the iconic Blue Mosque in Mazar-i-Sharif, a stunning architectural masterpiece with a rich history. I also experience the stunning natural beauty of Bamiyan and the Hazara people, who have been living in the region for centuries.
Throughout the video, you'll see the resilience of the Afghan people, who have faced decades of conflict and hardship, yet continue to persevere and find hope for the future.
This video is a must-see for anyone looking to gain a deeper understanding of Afghanistan and the people who call it home. Countless hours went into making this film, and I'd love to get your feedback in the comments below. How do you feel about long-form content like this? Your feedback is very valuable to me. Thank you, and please keep Afghanistan in your thoughts as they are going through a tough period.

The Afghanistan collaboration was, is and will always remain brilliantly powerful. Thomas, you evolved both as a human being and story-teller after the series and your content thereafter had heart, soul and depth. As I recollect some of the choicest of snatches, my eyes moisten. Thank you and this includes Drew as well, for showing us how worthwhile existence can be when bigotry takes a backseat and humanity in turn occupies centre-stage, making a consolidated statement of love, hope, faith, strength and belief. Kudos to you guys! Keep shining!🌟🌟🌟

I just found your channel and this particular video. I love it so much, I was there in 1979 for about a year, my husband was attached to the American Embassy at the time. Our children and I were evacuated from Kabul and sent to New Delhi just prior to the Russian invasion, my husband stayed there for an extra 3 months until everyone left. It was a magical time in my life and I have such amazing memories, the Afghan people are remarkable and it has been a constant sorrow to me that they have had to suffer through such terrible times. Thank you for showing a different view of the people than what has been broadcast through the mainstream media, as with most countries “the people” want nothing to do with conflict, only the people with the power want that, very sad.

Remembering your previous videos about Afghanistan and the many encounters with nice peeps and your relationship with your tour guide Noor who eventually fled the country and the conflict. That was really heart breaking, more so, that many citizens have been and are still suffering the greed for power and supremacy and idealism of a few.. BTW, Drew you made me cry when you talked about the journey of Noor and his fam and because of your efforts, I believe even more that humanity is always present even in differences and complexities.

I think it’s great that you manage to show the good side of so many countries that are absolutely dangerous. The media will only show the dangerous side of the many countries you have been to but you bring out the positivity. I am thankful that you have remained alive and healthy through your many travels. ❤

I love your channel! I have seen so many unknown sides of so many places through it, and it makes me feel ashamed that I’ve always just bought into whatever the typical picture is that the media portray. It’s so heart-warming to see how there are good people everywhere who just want to live their lives! Keep sharing the positive vibes, I think you are making a difference - one viewer at a time. Thank you!

Lately I've been feeling this longing to go see Afghanistan 🇦🇫 Even though I left Afghanistan when I was very young, and don't remember much; I'm still very attached and so proud to say that I'm an Afghan. We are by far the most misunderstood people in the world. Have you noticed that even if you are born outside your country of origin/ethnic background, people will always ask you "where are you from"?. At least that's the case in US. It's a nice feeling to know where I come from ❤️🇦🇫🙏🏼 PS: Thank You Drew for always showing the true beauty of every nation and culture in the world. Special thanks for showing my country ❤️🇦🇫❤️

Thank you Drew Binsky for your wonderful video of the amazing, sweet, hospitable, unspoiled children and people of Afghanistan. I am currently watching videos of the Nomads of Afghanistan and I am in awe of the people's resiliency and cooperation with their fellow Nomads. They travel along treacherous mountain regions from one area to another. It's a tough life! I have a deep appreciation for them and their lives. They're always willing to give helping hands to one another, and the families manage without modern conveniences to live happy, healthy lives with little to nothing, but they make the best of it without complaints.
