In most muslim world in 60s and 70s women do not wear the hijab. In my country that started in the 3rd quarter of 70s, around that, but there were no restriction on women's education. Now women in my country drive school bus, in police force, doctors, engineers, pilots, factory workers, professors, in army in all kind of jobs, most of them wear the hijab.

You should see some movies of Egypt,Syria in 1950-80s ,here lip kiss is very much common, and most actress in movies wore so much revealing and short dress,and many actress wore bikini and lip kiss scene with lip kiss and french kiss were so much normal specially in 1960,70s era and also 1950-90s era. On that time Indian women mostly wear saree and highest sleeveless dress ,lip kiss was considered as a ' risky' perform for indian actress till 1980s. And bikini was never possible. But during 1950-70s era, lip kiss in Egyptian, Syrian movie lip kiss and bikini was so much common and it was not risky,bold scene for them , Normal like other European movies. Even full nudity showed in some 1970s Egyptian, Syrian movie. On the other hand,indian movies was so much conservative till 1990s. That's mean indian subcontinent peoples were disconnected from the world during 1950-90s.

Extremely sad to see the plight of those dearly people in Afghanistan. I'm thankful to Lord Buddha, by all means for giving us wisdom through his philosophy. I guess true Islam also never urge women to suffer .But all these Taliban/ ISIS groups are following their own religion and their own version of the Sharia law. We saw how they did the Easter Attack in our country. Parents kill their own children. Children kill their own parents. Imagine the sins they commit in the name of their God.
