Afghanistan (Shadow Company VS Makarov Forces) - Modern Warfare 2 Remastered Part 16 - 4K

This level is a three-way fight, as Makarov's men fight Shadow Company, who will also target the player if he/she picks sides, as the two armies will take each other down if the player leaves them to it. At certain points, however, the player will be forced to engage them. While running, Captain Price contacts Makarov on an open radio channel and convinces him to give him Shepherd's location, hence the name of the level. Soap reaches a Task Force 141 car, with Captain Price already on board. Soon, the driver, Rook, gets shot and Soap is forced to drive the car while under heavy fire. At the end of the level, Soap and Price manage to drive into the back of Nikolai's plane, with the coordinates to General Shepherd's secret base.

I still remember the first time playing this mission back then in December 2009. While I was mourning about Roach and Ghost's death, there was more action incoming, watching the intro of this mission, hearing the music, and knowing I was playing AGAIN as Soap again gave me the chills. Good ol' times, and really amazing portraying in this remastered version. By the way: Amazing thumbnail.

As much as people hate shepherd, e needs to be appreciated. Higher ups usually hide out of the battlefield, shepherd since team player fought on the frontlines alongside his men, and he was actually a great general who was able to wipe a russian supported military (2nd best in ME) in a matter of 4 days using signature shock and awe. If there was no nuke to take out his invasion force he would be worshipped as the best general in history, sadly it ended the way it did for him. He also prevented nuclear war when he informed sec def it was not the Russians who launched the nuke but task force 141, if shepherd didn’t know the president wouldn’t have known and America would have retaliated with nukes as well. Hopefully they make shepherd a good guy, and just as badass as in mw2

SOAP was already injured or at the very least, disoriented from the boat crash!! So clearly, this played a huge role at his poor performance at taking on Sheperd.

@You Ain’t Special Well, when you're disoriented not only your strength is weakened, but you don't think straight as well. And at this stage, SOAP was also "desperate" to kill him! So all these factors combined at once -- no way SOAP would have outsmarted Sherperd this instant. But I do see what you mean though.
