Saad Mohseni has witnessed a lot of Afghanistan history from the Communist coup in 1978, the Soviet Union invasion in 1979, the Taliban, the overthrow of the Taliban by America and its allies, and the reemergence of the Taliban following the departure of American troops. His media company, Moby, created radio and television stations providing music, soap operas, music, and news. The still exist under the Taliban government now in power in Kabul but with less impact. Afghanistan has witnessed one decree after another restricting women’s access to education and personal freedom. Afganistan’s future direction is an open question. Most observers recognize that significant opportunities have been missed.

Saad Mohseni is a businessman and his media empire is still operating in Afghanistan. Therefore, he is not telling the truth about the brutality of the Taliban. People like hiim should not be given a voice as representative of the people or civil society. He is representing his business. Shame!

You’re certainly entitled to your opinion. But I totally disagree with you! Sure, he’s a businessman but I know Saad personally and he’s not only a patriot but a true gentleman! Did you even bother listening in between the lines and what he had to say? Obviously NOT!

I am also an Afghan American who arrived in New York in 1979. I was watching Charlie on PBS. I miss that show. Welcome Charlie. All disasters come from Pakistan to Afghanistan. It is an Islamic tourist factory. A fake country. Damn Pakistan. Pakistan becomes nuclear state because of the wars in Afghanistan. ❤️🇦🇫✌️🌏

You must learn that Afghanistan is also fake. Pakistan cannot operate inside Afghanistan without the sellout Afghans.

Exercise vigilance regarding the misleading narrative promoted by this individual, Saad, whose actions facilitated the Taliban's rise in Afghanistan by introducing harmful cultural influences. His behavior and statements are marked by dishonesty, rendering discussions about his character futile. Instead of engaging with his literature, which spreads misinformation and manipulation, consider supporting initiatives that foster truth, understanding, and constructive progress.

This interview highlights how personal interests can shape public stances. Having benefited from two decades of democracy in Afghanistan, Mohseni should be a vocal critic of the Taliban's actions. Instead, in pursuit of resuming his company’s operations and securing a substantial income, he appears to have compromised his principles, neglecting his commitments and responsibilities. Despite his claims of editorial freedom, Mohseni did not acknowledge that journalists and presenters at his network have faced detention, threats, warnings, and even been beaten for even mild criticisms of the Taliban's actions in their program (Even made by pundits). He asserted that his media can report on various topics, including criticism of the Taliban, yet he neglected to mention that live interviews have been banned and that media outlets must submit their programs for censorship before airing. Literally, they can air nothing except in Taliban's favor.

SAAD MOHSENI was in the opposition political team in Afghanistan, therefore, is blaming Ashraf Ghani for his doing

No he was not, he was a full part of the facade that hid the truth and today works with Taliban. Ghani was a disgusting lowlife Ghilzai fraudster who is condemned by even the stones and soil of that country. Ghilzai binamoose fraudster repeating the destruction of the state that Najib the dog Ghilzai did.

I do not know when this interview was conducted. If it happened recently, women cannot get out of their houses without their male companion let alone drive. He sounds like the Taliban woman spokesperson, Patang who lives in the west and goes to Afghanistan sometimes and spread misinformation in the West.

Exactly I agree 100%, here is the proof, Afghanistan was producing 90% of the world opium now the opium production is almost zero, the CIA was involved in the production of opium trade, when he and his Gangs ruled Afghanistan was 190th most corrupt country in the world, the only other country that was more corrupt was Somalia, in two years it went down to 162 now.
